I don't disagree with anything you said. That's why I said I have no problem with people being against the trade. My only goal is for people to have the facts. Don't make ridiculous posts like "The Rockets will have no first round picks!" or "Dwight will just sign the max with Brooklyn!"

Let's all get all the facts straight and then decide where we are on the deal. If you are against it for logical reasons, OK.

I also agree that the silly rhetoric is crazy, but that is also coming from the other sign Deck and has spawned much of the rhetoric the other way. The non-stop "Murray is an idiot! Fire Murray! The Rockets will suck forever! Rockets will never win with Murray! HAHAHA! Murray is a loser! What is Murray thinking?! Dwight will never stay in Houston fat murray is just dumb!!" has created a lot of angst on the pro-Dwight side.

You have a fundamental problem with your logic. Acquiring Howard is NOT the big risk you make it out to be. Don't take my word for it. Go find aelliott's cap space explanation of how much cap space the Rockets will have even if they take on Hedo and JRich. (Especially if Howard walks after one season).

It's a calculated move to get a Top 20 player now. But that move also has an escape pod in the form of near future cap space. Not the "risk" you portray.

    BTW...I told you so...no Hedo...no DH.

It's what Ric Bucher has started saying. I don't know if it will end up being true, but the fact that Mr. "Rockets have 0% chance of getting Dwight" and "Nets have the best offer and the Rockets can't touch it" Bucher says it makes it hard for me to believe it. His agenda of angling for Dwight to the Nets is so obvious.

If true, we will just hang around 7th/8th/9th until he gets back. We are good at that. A team with Brooks/Lee/Parsons/Dmo can do that.

No argument about that from me. There is blame on both sides, and most of the stupidity is from relative newcomers. What can you do? (shrug)

If he wants the nets he'd have to do a sign and trade or take a serious pay cut. Les and Morey don't strike me as the type of guys that would take a second round pick just to help Dwight and the nets out.

Good!! Either Parsons or Morris will still be here to hold down the sf position next season... I do like Parsons but he is a Florida guy and his price may be at its highest right now... Morris is the one with real scoring potential... Either way I like knowing that our sf position has some stability...

@Jonathan_Feigen Last I heard, Rockets were not offering both of last season's rookies and all three of this year's picks. Many could be in a deal, though.

Why in hell Morey would give up our whole farm for a guy that doesn't want to stay and is not even a full rental since he's freaking not going to play till probably January.
