Never underestimate the predictability of stupidity. We had our superstar(s) during the Rudy Gay trade era. Also, do u want Rudy Gay now? Really? Glad YOU don't run the franchise, or we would be paying every player on the team max contracts. If Dwight leaves, and we lose all our youth, we will SUCK! Hard... Everyone saying keep the youth and tank? Also stupid. Our rookies are better than Washington or Charlotte last year, or Toronto and many others, no Top 5 pick. Those who think that, keep dreaming. It's Howard now, and he stays because no NY Brook LA Mia Boston can offer him ANY money let alone Max of the Max, or it's no Howard later and we TRULY suck in the LOADED 2014 draft......and btw, pro tankers, this year comings rookie crop (2013) is gross.....

Are you employed? Do you work for free? Why isn't everyone in the league offering their entire team for a 1 year Dwight rental?

Just let him do whatever the fk he wants. At the end of the day it's either you win a championship or you don't if it's the latter then Morey would be fired. Dead set...

I just hate how everyone sees the "proposed trade" and jumps on Morey- "FIRE MOREY!" and all this crap. Two things:

    - The least we can do is not judge until he has made the trade (and that's an if)
    - Don't believe every single thing that is written, if that was the case Dwight would be a Net by now

Just because people have a difference of opinion, in this case a difference of assumptions, doesn't mean they're idiots. I will say that there are quite a few people on here that post some ridiculous stuff. But just as you are assuming he will walk after a year, some people assume he may stay. Since neither is wrong or right at the moment you can't really fault some people for wanting Howard.

I, on the other hand, am excited at the possibility of him on the team but also nervous for the same reasons that you do not want Howard. But to be honest, how often does the opportunity truly arise to trade for a bonafide superstar. We'll just have to see how it plays out and then b**** about it later because we all know hindsight is 20/20.

Yes Because we dont want all that drama..we never wanted to trade our whole damn team for the orlando scrubs and DHoward who doesnt even want to be here. We wanted to add a superstar or 2 while retaining atleast a couple of our young assests.

First of all guys RUDY GAY was not our pick-we liked Roy he got Jahn'd and thus Gay fell to 8-he still isn't better than Roy, and Roy is Donzooo(signed up again this year)-Rudy gay gets injured more than Yao Ming-we needed a superstar-our draft picks weren't going to be breakout stars-get off the gas homers-y'all can't decide what you want b**** at les b**** at morey b**** about 14th pick b**** about 3 first rd picks (that weren't any good)-b**** about Mchale, finally it happened now b**** that Dwight is going to take 3.5 million a year and bolt to leave us, and sit 120million dollars just to play with the nets-so he can get that shoe deal right!

cause tweeting someone will change their mind...

Your opinion would mean a little more if you were a season ticket holder and threatened to cancel your tickets... But that too probably wouldn't stop them.

Even then, they have a plan and I'm sure they're going to execute it.

Stop. NO ONE HERE knows what the final offer will be. This is just ESPN reporting bogus news as usual.

    "Howard to Lakers imminent."
    "Howard to Nets heating up."
"Howard to Nets likely finalized today."
"Howard will not be going to Nets."
"Houston has 0% chance at landing Dwight Howard."
"Houston in the lead to landing Dwight Howard."

Hell, they change their stories faster than we change our assets. Wait until the deal is done, and THEN judge whether you like the trade.

And I seriously could care less if Dwight didn't want to come to Houston. He hasn't played here yet. He hasn't experienced life in a Rockets uniform. He hasn't started winning games with the organization yet. He doesn't know the coaching staff. He didn't make all the friends he is going to yet. But he will. And when he does, he may change his mind. Pau Gasol didn't want to come here either.

Just be patient. Let Daryl Morey do his job. After all, you people were the same people complaining about how much it sucks being mediocre. You're the same people who were crying about getting Morey fired. The same people wanting to choose a direction. Well, we are on the verge of acquiring a top 5 player in this league. The best Center since Shaquille O'Neal, and you're complaining? Our alternative is to stink it up in the regular season and get what? The number 9 or 10 overall pick in the draft? Give me a break. I commend Daryl Morey for the work he's done, and so should you.

Exactly bc not everyone can afford the "premium" this is not "shane Battier"-or remember that "Eddie Griffen" a who was worth (3 better picks than 12,14,18) will ever be worth!

I don't understand how some of you people are liking this deal, we trade just about all our young players, for 2 scrubs and a year rental of Dwight? HOW is that a good deal? This will be our starting line up , Dwight Howard and 4 fowards and Dwight wont be happy. Such a GREAT DEAL.

I am a Rocket fan. Lived through stuck in a rut years with Rockets. We slowly built up and put the right talent around Dream and won a championship. Then we lived through CD destroying that for Barkley and Pippen. Then came the Steve Francis era or lack there of. Then Yao and She-Mac. During all this time we made bad draft picks and chased after aging and broken superstars to end up with a boarder line team. Most people forget we drafted Dream. He was very raw coming out of college. He develop into a legend. Morey has proven he can draft well. I don't like a lot of the moves he has made this off season. ( Dragic, not drafting a center, over paying Asik, and no real floor general) But trading for Howard and bad contracts while getting rid of young guys with talent and draft picks strikes me as desperate and a bad idea. This is the Charles Barkley trade all over again. How long did it take us to recover from that one.

I like how some people just want to throw EVERYTHING for Dwight. It's one thing to GET a superstar, it's ANOTHER to not have a backup plan AT ALL in case he does bolt.

When Clippers traded for Paul, did they give up EVERYTHING? What about when Lakers traded for Gasol?

The Rockets would be giving up EVERY damn draft pick we have the next few years. ALL three rookies from this draft, AND our talent left on our team like Parsons, Morris, Patterson.....

    ARE YOU F'N INSANE?

I can't fathom anybody being that dumb. Especially Morey. If that's what Orlando is expecting, get out of those talks, right now. Run.
