I see him being quite good next to Dwight. Good shooter from outside to spread the floor. I hope that if we get Dwight we play inside out with 1 in 4 out. DMo playing PF with Patterson off the bench, that sounds very exciting.
Isn't that kind of the way Orlando played? Then down the stretch they had to go to hedo, cuz Dwight had no post game and couldn't hit free throws..
Brooks is a horrible post entry passer. Not exactly what we're looking for if we do indeed land Dwight or Bynum. He's also very erratic and a streak shooter. A lot of players depend on their confidence but it's really apparent with Brooks. He's always been this way. When his jumper is wet everything seems to go well for him. When his shots not falling he looks bad. Real bad. He would be the perfect backup PG for a change of pace, instant offense off the bench type of role. As a starter... He leaves much to be desired. I'm extra critical of Brooks since he's a Duck though.
even if he was worth it, no way would he get that. people realize that guys coming from china are desperate to get back in the nba and can be lowballed if anything. look at jr smith when he joined the knicks. i forget the details but i think he made one or two million to join the knicks this past season.
Can't believe no one is talking about this... It should really be in the roster forum.. But how perfect is the idea that Aaron has proven he can be a great player in Houston so he gets hurt and traded to where he plays behind an all-time great/MVP and then signs in China while we raise the stock on his backup(and unintenionally the other backup) so he can be traded just in time to sign Brooks back knowing he will be great here but on a smaller contract... Unbelievable... The fact that Brooks is one of my All-Time favorite Rockets doesn't hurt either..
He sucks at entry passes. I would prefer not to see the waive off and proceed to jack up a 3 like we've seen countless times.
We'd have a pretty decent player in the middle to rebound his jacked up 3s though . Do those count as assists?
Lulz. Brooks can ask for 40 million, but he won't get that anywhere. Are there any other teams that are in need of a starting pg? Seems like its only Houston and dallas
