If a player dunks from the 3pt line, does it count as a 3 or 2?

Long Jump record is almost 30 ft, but you would have to go 15 further because you would on your downward trajectory by the time you made it to the goal.

I don't think it will ever happen, not without some kind of mechanical manipulation.

This will never happen for obvious reasons. The goal will be raised to 20 feet and the 3-point line will be moved to half-court to accommodate for the advances in genetics.

Also, it will no longer be the NBA, but the GBA ... Galactic Basketball Association ... to account for the teams on Mars, the Moon, etc.

Well I mean it has only happened one time in history, and it was counted as two points.

If a tree falls in the woods with nobody near to hear it, does it make a sound?

if a player shoots a 3 pointer and it goes in and then the player uses the force to make the ball circle around the hoop and go in again, is it a 5 or 6 pointer?

Seriously? I'm not going to flame (too bad)...

To do this outside of a game is ridiculous, much less IN a game. Long jumpers FEET touch the ground at their distances. They won't be dunking.

Nevermind, I can't believe I even typed this much on such a crazy question.

The play will have to hit 3 consecutive baskets first and catch on fire before he can dunk from the 3 pt line. Also in NBA Jam I think it's still only worth 2 pts :)

What if a player does a cartwheel, does that count as steps? Could I do a cartwheel from the 3pt line by putting the ball between my feet while upside-down and then push off with my hands and dunk the ball with my feet?

I think this might be possible.

If a player dunks from the free throw line, i'm pretty sure we'd all be fine with awarding him 100 points.

This is a more relevant question, and I think the mods should change the thread title accordingly.
