This trade makes more sense. The Rockets are the real last bidder standing, no need to overpay. Only team that can give them a complete package of good & cheap young players, cap relief and future picks. With time, a strong showing in the summer league or to start the season, our young guys value can only go up. No need to rush it.
This trade is obviously more palatable than the trade I woke up to and read this morning. I sure wish Morris was in place of Lamb. I would hate to see Lamb go without seeing what he can develop into but hey you have to give something up. Thanks for posting OP let us hope this guy is on the money.

One of Royce and Lamb has to stay, being the two youngster with more star potential in the team. I would prefere to replace T. Jones by Marcus Morris in the package though.
That trade actually makes us a top 4 team in the west automatically. With more deals to be had. I think we could actually jump to a top 3 team at the very least. With this rumored deal we would have more than enough other assets to deal for other players of our liking. Maybe a Josh Smith, etc... Re-signing Courtney Lee to back up Jason Richardson. PG- Duhon, (Lin?) SG- Richardson, Lee SF- Parsons, Morris PF- Donuts, Royce White, etc.. C- Howard, (Asik?) That is just too good. With more assets possibly at hand.
Yeah, with this trade we'd be set at 3, 4, 5. Makes me real confident going forward that's for sure. And no, I'd rather have Donatas & Parsons over Josh Smith.
I could see Lee re-signing with us to be back with Dwight. We would free up enough cap space also to sign him, so long as we're not getting Lin or Asik. Then sign Brooks for his outside shooting. No one will give him more than 3-4M for 1-2yrs. And on a team with Dwight clogging the paint, he could just cherry-pick the whole game for all I care. We don't need his (sh!tty) defense. PG - Brooks / Duhon SG - Lee / Richardson (6th man) SF - Parsons / Morris PF - D-Nuts / White C - D-Ho / Greg Smith
Seems like a legit deal and fair for both sides. I agree with keeping either Royce or Lamb, I really do think both have all-star potential. J-Rich on that team would be more of a asset if we can find a decent PG.
Correct me if im wrong but N.Y. is going to match,Chicago is going to match,Lee is allready gone and Dwight would only be for 3/4 of the season and on top of that our picks and our rookies will be gone.
My understanding is that, if true, this trade could not be executed until sometime in September, due to restrictions on trading out players we just acquired.
assuming brooks and lee re-sign brooks/douglas/machado lee/richardson parsons/morris d-mo/white howard/luer/asik that could be top 3 or 4 if at least one of the rookies deliver
