I'm pretty sure the majority of me wants us to keep all our guys. Land Asik and Lin and see what develops. Worst/possibly best case scenario is we suck, yet find out who is worth keeping, get a high lotto pick and never look back.

Meanwhile, Dwight gets stuck in Orlando while getting booed everyday, allday until February. At that point, the Lakers finally get him for pennies on what Houston was offering but it doesn't matter because Kobe and Howard are still not better than OKC or the Heat for that matter.

The article says nothing about Magic giving up young players, just their albatross contracts, we give up 7 youngsters, draft picks and Martin.
It looks we end up with the short end of the stick but who knows what direction Morey is heading even with Howard.

They have to convince Howard on the fly, bolstering a competitive roster, thinking about possible trades for Howard if he bolts, that is just too much at once.
I guess McHale won't be very happy with everything.

If ESPN is to be believed, the structure of the deal will depend on the outcome of the Asik offer sheet (Lin is certain to be matched). So I doubt they make an announcement so soon unless Chicago has already made up its mind.

No way are we getting all those PFs from Houston.....we'd have 10 PFs on our roster.

SA, I'm pretty sure Parson's Gators team made it to the Elite 8 his senior year, fwiw

We'll need most of those PFs because Ayon will be the only center on the roster. That way, if they get injured playing the bigger guys in the league, they have plenty more just to roll out there.

    Guys, be realistic.

The Washington Wizards, Sacramento Kings, and Golden State Warriors have been getting picks in the top 7 or 8 picks in the draft for years, and it never gets them out of the lottery.

The Wizards had to trade most of their young guys for a bunch of journeymen this year just to give John Wall someone to play with who knows what he is doing.

It took the Bulls 10 years to get back to the playoffs after Jordan left, despite having at least one pick in the top 10 pretty much every year. All those young guys trying to make their mark just squabbled so they didn't play as a team and a bunch of them had to be traded.

It took the Hawks 5 or 6 seasons of top 10 picks put together to have enough guys who could play to get to the playoffs and another two or three years to get out of the first round. Now, they are busting up that group.

It's really difficult to build this way.

Well, I think Morey should step down this horrible offseason anyway. But this trade is definitely pure *****ery. Just concedes my point he can't make key basketball decisions

I dont understand the Magic GM Rob Hennigan..The Nets were gonna give up WAY less to get Dwight Howard

A lot of freaky **** has happened this off-season, or some really tough luck hitting us hard

Lets start from the draft and the Bobcats taking MKG.. when everyone and their mothers knew that leading up to draft night they were gonna take Thomas Robinson. Which in a sense ruined our chances at trading for the 5th pick. And how on Earth do the Cavs take Dion Waiters with Thomas Robinson still on the board(unless he was intentionally left on the board for the Kings to take). I hate to sound like a conspiracy theorist, but just think for a second. The Bobcats would not have needed to put out any smokescreens for trying to select Thomas Robinson 2nd, because Anthony Davis was a LOCK to go to NOLA. Anybody besides Anthony Davis in the draft could be had by the Bobcats.

If they wanted MKG why not trade the number 2 pick to Portland for the #6 and #11. But in hindsight that wouldnt have made a difference because the Blazers im sure would have traded the pick to another team(maybe then the new team takes Thomas Robinson), and the Wizards would have still taken Bradley Beal. The thing i cant get over is the Cavs taking Dion Waiters over Thomas Robinson.

Something about that draft was fishy, its weird one minute we hear Thomas Robinson potentially(although a long shot) battling Anthony Davis for the number 1 selection, and then he slides to #5. When leading up to the draft, their was talk of a deal in place with the Rockets and the Kings for the 5th pick and Tyreke Evans( if Thomas Robinson wasnt on the board)

And now hear you have the Magic asking for our whoel team( which is something i dont understand), because you are presumbably sending Dwight Howard to the Western Confernce, why are you taking less from the Nets and making them better( when you will have to deal with them). You are also in a sense giving Dwight what he wants( after he has dogged out your organization)

Their is some freaky stuff going on, and i wouldnt be surprised to know that Stern has done his fair share, or at least promised the Magic a future number 1 overall pick in the coming year( only if they do NOT send Dwight to Houston)

What do u know magic fans are smarter than rockets fans! We seem to think we can just tank for a year and then draft a franchise player and be on OKCs level... It will take us alot longer to rebuild then y'all think!

a bird in the hand (dwight Howard) Is worth more than a a bird in a bush (future draft picks)

You guys didn't think we traded Budinger, Dalembert, Camby, Lowry, let Dragic walk and amnestied Scola for ****s and giggles did you? We were focused on the ultimate prize and we stayed focused and we're about to achieve what we set out to do. Attain a top 3 player in the league. Morry is the GREATEST.
