This is the same GM that declined to give Dragic a PLAYER OPTION to maintain flexibility and everyone is going nuts that he'll take on all those bad contracts, give away all our rookies/youth and potentially picks as well?

Dwights back is also too risky to trade for, what if he doesn't even end up playing at all next season because he doesn't think his back is healed enough

Looks like the only way Les is going to learn this lesson is to let this trade go through. After a 2nd round exit, Dwight will make his exit.

Just a reminder: Most of the deals that we all hate and want to form an angry mob about are the ones we look back on and laugh about how dumb we all were later.

I think the guy is a championship player, can hit the 3, extremely athletic, can guard kevin durant... enough said. Guys like that win teams championships Bowen, Artest, Tayshaun, Sefalosha.. playing next to superstars of course. It's not a deal-breaker, but if we could somehow keep him it could make the difference.

And if Howard agrees to re-sign, I totally would be on board. In fact, I'm even willing to start with a clean slate in that case. The biggest problem is that should we suck horribly with Howard, he actually may take less money to play elsewhere. And one year, especially when you've traded all your draft picks already is hardly enough time to build a team.

We're not going to even make the playoffs in the West, let alone the 2nd round, if this trade goes through.

Question: If Howard does not resign before the February trade deadline, can the Rockets trade him?

Focus on getting Dwight for ONE year. That's a pretty stupid logic you got there. Then you throw out the "we are going to rebuild", no we are not. Les Alexander doesn't want the Rockets to rebuild because no one would show up to the games and he would lose money...

This can't be true. Would this mean we are keeping the Toronto pick? I wouldn't mind having that. Then again, if this is the package for Dwight, why did we trade Lowry?

Do the "majority of CF fans" really say Parsons is the deal breaker? I kind of doubt it though maybe he is for some people. Maybe a poll will help?

Frankly, I don't see any one individual player as a deal breaker, the issue is simply what you are giving and getting back in the aggregate. Parsons would have significant value to HOU as a part of the aggregate.

Yet so far, all the $20 offers haven't sealed the deal.

If this is true then I cant see how Oralndo could refuse. This trade wont break down. Morey is going out his way to salvage the Magic and sabotage the Rockets.

Oh how I wish the Pau/Nene trades had happened. We wouldn't be wringing our hands like this.

    Damn you Stern.

Admitting hating parsons would be hard. Morey can find quality players easily through draft or FA. Give him a superstar he will put together a team. Until now we were complaining about not getting a superstar now that we r close our players are too valuable. The thing is we would be stuck in mediocrity with the current team we have for a while. so might as well swing for the fences. If dwight doesnt want to stay trade him n rebuild. If he does bring in more stars. Either way as long as the rockets pick a direction.
