think about it, if you had Dwight, would you let him go for any less?

everyone is just either playing dumb, or just have no idea how good Dwight Howard is. We are so in love with the sensational rookie soon-to-be LeBron James 2.0 that he is just too much to give up for Dwight Howard.

I dont understand why some people are okay with the fact that we'reessentially trading all our assets for all their crap. Giving up all those plus the picksis toomucheecially if theres a big chance of dwight not resigning.

You guys should check out Eric Pincus's twitter right now. Not gonna post them all cuz there's a ton but he's basically talking about how he supports this move to go all in. Seems like he's confident this is going to happen (at least, Dwight to HOU, don't know about this specific deal)

There is no way that is the deal. That would basically turn us into the Houston Magic. Morey is too smart to think he would be able to get Dwight to stay with that setup.

That's just ****ing r****ded. I'm going to **** if we get rid of White or Donatas and take on all those contracts. Parsons would hurt but I wouldn't be surprised to see him gone with Lamb and Jones.

I could of sworn Dwight was trying to get out of Orlando...Morey would be bringing Orlando to Houston then it will be the Rockets problem

Agree! Bottom line: If Houston is willing to take back all of those Orlando bad contracts (2 or more ) then we shouldn't have to give up as many rooks/assets to get the deal done. Unloading Orlando of bad contracts is JUST AS BENEFICIAL as getting good players because it frees up cap space and allows them to enter free agency and engage in trades for good players in the near future!

No point in turning their nightmare into our nightmare (which this proposed deal looks like). Either they get assets/rooks + picks OR we give them less of our riches in return for their crappy contracts that NO ONE IN THIS CBA WOULD TAKE BACK.

    Hold firm Morey!!!

And he will never recover from that "bad back"? You think someone of Dwight's physique is going to get drastically affected by that "bad back"?

Uhmmmmmbbb... he's only carried a bunch of marginal scrubs to the playoffs each and every year while being the best defensive player in the NBA...

You have to leave yourself with flexibility. Making this trade makes it so hard for us to make any other moves to improve the team. We need to hold on to something that could get us Josh Smith or someone comparable. Take Parson, Patterson, and Morris out of the deal and it's a good deal. The Magic already drafted two PFs so they don't need Morris and Patterson.

The whole idea of getting Dwight Howard is based on one of two things. (1) He gives the go-ahead that he'll re-sign with us, which is extremely unlikely, and (2) we can surround Howard with enough talent to make a deep playoff run. Be able to compete with the Lakers, Spurs, and Thunder.

If neither of the above materialize, then getting Howard doesn't bode well for the present nor the future. If we keep enough cap space, we can try to go after Harden or CP3 or someone else next summer. If we keep enough youngsters, we can trade them for veteran help. If we keep our draft picks, we can fully tank and rebuild quickly should Howard leaves(Toronto pick key in this regards). If we trade all three, then it's by far the most risky move I've ever seen a GM do, basically daring Howard to leave town after the season.

Basically, if we take on Orlando's crappy contracts, we need to save some for the future, either through our own rookies or the Toronto pick.

Thats not the point. We're inheritingall the problems of orlando and giving up everything. Giving up the rookies is fine but to include parsons, the picks and even ****ing marcus morris? What the ****

how about you provide a reasonable explanation for what exactly we have to lose? the franchise is on the verge of being in the dumps, and we haven't accomplished anything in 15 years.

desperate times call for desperate measures. why don't you pretend that chase budinger is in the trade instead of terrence jones, if that makes you feel better.

They also have to hope the offer sheets to Lin and Asik are matched.

I must say i'm surprised that Morey is willing to give up SO many of our young guys. Only DMo was saved here.... I think I smell ESPN bull****...

Jeez y'all are acting like our pics are stars. They are just rookies and none of them will be as good as Dwight Howard.

    Seriously.

Jeremy Lamb is NOT going to be the next Ray Allen
Royce White does NOT have LeBron James potential
Terrence Jones is NOT going to be a Superstar
Chandler Parsons is NOT the white Scottie Pippen
Patrick Patterson IS a backup PF that has shown limited upside
Marcus Morris IS NOT the next Carmelo Anthony with defense or Paul Pierce

At least right now they're not. There's a chance one of them hell maybe even 2 of them pan out and have great careers but I don't think we have 3+ years for that to happen. Lets say 2 of them turn out to be stars in this league... this trade will still be a huge win for us not only in the short term but long term as well.

DWIGHT HOWARD IS the best center in the league. Dwight Howard CAN carry your team to the playoffs alone. DWIGHT HOWARDWILL change the fortune of your franchise.

I'm confident Morey can surround Dwight with the necessary pieces to build a true contender and I'm sure all this only happens with Dwight agreeing to an extension. A player of Dwight's caliber only comes around once a decade or so. He is a top 3 player no matter how you look at it. Make it happen.
