For some reason now I feel guys worth the max, will stay where they are, like CP3, then we will have to give the max to others that don't really deserve max contracts. Those always seem to work out great.

Stunning, Scola is a quality player. If Dallas somehow gets him then the rich got richer.

Morey has been trying to get rid of Scola for months now...If Morey cant find a taker, then clearly, there was no demand for Scola with that contract (3 yrs @ 30 million).

Scola's time as a Rocket was clearly coming to an end. Sucks to see him go, but he has no place in the future of this team.

And what will you do if that happens?? You'll be cheering right along with the rest of us. Cursing the front office over getting rid of players that have not won a thing here makes no sense. Scola played his heart out for us, but if losing him means gaining DWIGHT HOWARD, how can you complain??

Philly traded for Dorrell Wright recently. They've got far too many wing players. Iggy for simply cap space and one of the PFs?

A Chris Paul+Dwight duo doesn't even get us out of the West, much less winning it all. At least not with the roster we have now and the young talent we plan on giving up.

I don't know what the hell is going on anymore.

Smith, Millsap, and Iggy are definitely gone IMO. Smith has wanted out for ages, as for Millsap and Iggy, their teams are LOADED at those positions and I don't think Utah or Philly will want to bring them back. Those guys may not be worth the max but I wouldn't cry if we paid them max money to team up with DH and anchor the rest of the team.

one thing to note about amnesty bids.

The teams bidding must be under the cap iirc.

    Is this correct Bima/CH/aelliott?

I keep saying this, but I am going to say it again -- I think this trade is on hold until August when Donatus is able to be traded to Orlando.

My guess, we take on the bad contracts and give Orlando Donatus, Lamb,Morris and the Dallas and Toronto picks. I think the deal is all but done, and this thing with Scola is a further indication of that, but that nothing goes down until Orlando can get Donatus.

Wow. If this works and Dwight stays it really will be money ball basketball style. I haven't been in favorite of the gamble, but I must admit this is pretty exciting stuff!

Are you kidding? Yes it does, it puts us on the same level as OKC. CP3 > Westbrook and Howard is VERY close to Durant in talent.

Heck lets just get rid of the whole roster let Dwight pick his team. What player wouldn't want that?
