Don't forget about Jones at 6'9 252 and Royce at 6'8 260. They could be used at center.

Why choose Thabeet over hundreds of other capable bigs they could have gotten? They could have easily resigned Mohammed, right?

Apparently not. Centers that have established they can give you 10 minutes a game seem to feel they're worth more than a partially guaranteed minimum deal.

And nothing about Jones or White suggests that they should ever play a minute at center.

you're obsessed with players who suck that have long shots of ever being good.

why can't you like any good players dude?
Dwight Howard, Bynum, those dudes are actually good. They actually start for teams.

Thabeet will never be a starter. You realize they got Thabeet so he can pick up some fouls right?

It's called scrubs, every NBA team has them. You maybe not old enough to remember Hakeem, but did you ever remember the centers on the bench?
    Eric Riley, Richard Petruska?

if you lived back then, you'd be all over these scrubs and forget Hakeem was there.

    Hell no.
Camby/Dalembert was ten times better of a combination than these scrubs at the center position.
If Morey can't get either Dwight or Bynum he should get fired.

Can't believe the delusional posts from everyone here. Oh Greg Smith and Jerome Jordan are our future.
Yeah nobody would know about these guys AT ALL if they weren't suited up to play for the Rockets.

Ish Smith will fill be our savior and fill the void at the center position.

Here is the opening post again for you idiots who can't read. Notice the part in bold. Doesn't say over Howard or Bynum. It means we won't be stuck without a center.
Also, the winkie face next to Greg Smith, thats called a joke, clowns.

If only we drafted Jeffery Taylor we wouldn't even be concerned about this superstar chase.

Basically, worst comes to worst we can use Scola or Patterson at the center position.

The influx of power forwards maybe a good thing, because I don't know if Scola will be able to take all the jumping for the tip offs plus his usual work load.

    Uuummm, yeah.

I'm not seeing all these people around here talking up Greg Smith or Jerome Jordan as answers for anything important.

This thread is the first I have seen that even suggests that Jerome Jordan is even going to be on the roster this year. Most everyone else figures he is either traded or released.

Truthfully, i don't want to have to play guys like Jordan, just like i didn't want to be stuck with Dalembert last year, but thats what usually happens when Rockets chase stars. We end up with whatever scraps are left over.
I was just trying to get everyone ready for the inevitable.
