If we get Dwight, who could/would you want us to trade for during the season?

If the Rockets manages to offer Orlando the best offer than any other teams, the Rockets will trade for less than what they traded for him in the first place. If no team can offer more than Houston can, there's a very high chance that they will get the same offer other teams gave to Orlando in the first place. So its no point of trying to trade all our chips for him and then trade him again. A lot of teams are not going to trade for him unless he guarantees he will resign with them.

Gosh I can't believe Dwight Howard is causing all these nightmare right now. He's the most hated player in the NBA for sure. People think Lebron's " The Decision" was bad but all this crappy drama Dwight is pulling is much worst. I absolutely do not want that guy on our team. If traded here, he will make his trade value drop. He will do whatever he can so Houston can trade him. So why would Houston want that anyway? What they have now don't look so good but it will be a lot better in the future.

Instead of trying to go for the home run, they should focus on the team's future instead of the present. What's better for the team. The Rockets have young talented prospect that will slowly grow and the lottery pick plus their own. If they let their players develop this year and have the top 5 lottery next year, they can draft a star of their own and slowly build around him. Isn't that better than just throwing that away for Howard who's going to leave this team anyway. If they going to get Bynum in return, they have to be 100% sure he's going to resign with the Rockets. If not, then NO. But with Bynum, the Rockets offer shouldn't be as high as if they were trading for Howard. But I think Bynum is a better offensive player than Dwight.

Bynum is a bonehead but he has the offensive tool to be dominant. He is turning 25 this year, he's bigger than Howard and stronger. He has the ability to surpass Dwight Howard if he works hard and stay away from injuries. But that worries me. The Rockets already had problem with Yao's injuries in the past. The only reason why I'm not buying Andrew Bynum is because of his past knee injuries. Those injuries can linger him and can take him down if he put so much stress into it. Remember, he is a big guy and is injury prone just like Yao. He manages to stay healthy recently but you will never know how much longer he can stay healthy. Andrew Bynum has a higher chance of having another serious knee injury than becoming the most dominant big man in the NBA. So both players are a risk. But if the Rockets want to take risks, they might as well develop their rookies to see how they'll turn out and draft high in the draft next season. I much rather take that risk than depending on the Rockets to convince Dwight Howard to resign here which is probably 0.01% because we don't have a star or Bynum to become a superstar that can carry this team to the finals which is less likely than him re-injuring himself again.

No offence to you two but I am so sick of seeing people on this forum doing this.

If you don't like the thread, just don't reply and let it sink...

Really Al jefferson? you want another PF that'd clog up the middle with Dwight/Bynum already there? Why? I'd prefer a stretch 4, if we can somehow keep DMo, I'd definitely be happy there, a pretty tall front court.

But really guys, we don't have Dwight OR Bynum yet so let's keep this in the 300 threads we have related to the trade rumors and what have yous.

Donuts is so, so overhyped. Amazing to see you guys pencil him in as a starter.

Prepare to be GREATLY disappointed. He does not yet know how to play like a man. He will be Bambi out there.

Good call on Iggy. He'd be great as a 3rd option. If we can cultivate one of our Inknown assets as option 2 behind Dwight and have Iggy as our third best player we'd be set.

Any player that Dwight is happy to play with, any member on the Dream Team will make him happy.

Yea, right. And how many of his games have you watched? The guy is a banger in the low post and loves it. He has range out to the 3 point line and can blow by most PF's in the NBA out there. He does need work, but D-Mo is obviously driven. Whatever it takes.

we'd probably go after a dynamic wing player, and a spread 4 like ryan anderson.

I want shooters who are good defenders (Bruce Bowen types) and maybe another serviceable low post threat, so that we can run the same inside/outside offense when Dwight sits.

What about a PG? Losing 2 starter level good ones is going to hurt us.

Bigger sure, he's what an inch taller, but that really doesn't matter because without knowing the number I'm sure Dwight has a longer wingspan, plus he can out jump Bynum so height becomes a non factor. But no way is Bynum stronger. Outside of LeBron, Dwight is the most physically gifted player in the league. Dwight's strength would kill Bynum's.

At this point I'm not really interested. If Dwight sticks to his word and doesn't sign an extension than the only place you can really trade him to is the Nets. I wouldn't mind having Lopez in return but if you were just after him why go through Dwight? As was stated on espn radio today Dwight's trade value is a game token. You can only spend it in one place and it has no monetary value.

I honestly wouldn't mind trading for a player like Danilo Gallinari or Wesley Matthews. But with all we'd be giving up for Dwight I seriously doubt we'll have the assets to acquire those players.

We'll more than likely have to go after free agents and go with all the players recieved through the trade (Hedo, Big Baby, J-Rich, etc.) there aren't many free agents but off the top I would say maybe an Anthony Randolph to come off the bench, or Raymond Felton type to start at PG for us.

There are still some servicable players left out there in free agency. Just gotta wait for the BIG domino to final fall.

Realistically we should do what Nets did and bring in a bad contract player with some star power like Joe Johnson. Deron said himself he stayed because of Joe Johson so that just shows you stars want to play with Names not role players.

I think Boozer could be had for nothing. He is a name Dwight recognizes.

Rudy Gay doesn't fit in Memphis and is on a Max deal. He could be had for cheap.
