Let's remember one of the best moments during the 95 finals. My favorite is the intro. <iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/o5dQp-kXh4M" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
And this one just depresses me... Compares the 95 season to the Texas Cyclone. <iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/WoY-f04c8C0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
All O'Neal scoring on Hakeem. Stats: O'Neal - 28pts, 10rbs, 6 assists, 3 blocks vs Dream - 31 pts, 14rbs, 7 assists, 2 steals

Couldn't find any Hakeem Olajuwon highlights scoring over Shaquille O'Neal huh? I'm just messin dude... LOL... But no seriously... That year was awesome, sweeping the Magic!
Actually, I was scouring for the "It's a Small World" being played when they were introduced. I still recall laughing my ass off watching the players get introduced to that song; especially Horace Grant.
I still have Game 4 of this series on a VHS tape somewhere. It even has most of the KPRC Channel 2 pregame show... Frank Billingsley did a little segment with Orlando weatherman Chris Castleman that I still think is pretty funny, though that could be the nostalgia talking. And this woman (named Debra Gladney, IIRC) who wrote a weird rap song about the Rockets' season. Bill Balleza got the title wrong--he called it "Shootin' It Up To You," but the title was actually "Shootin' Up On You." (I guess neither realized that "shooting up" was also slang for injecting drugs into yourself.) Talking about "crammin' it on ya," probably talking about scoring a lot...? If I ever figure out how to convert that tape to DVD and then convert that into a digital video file, I'll upload it to Youtube. It's not the whole pregame show (only about 35 minutes out of 60), but hey, you take what you can get.
I was about to rep you with the intro but then it showed 10 straight Oneal scores. Are you a troll? Fail
Oh, awesome! Thanks for the advice! Don't expect it soon, though. At the time of this writing, I'm unemployed and still looking for work. But still, I would love to be able to permanently preserve this rare piece of Rockets history.
Thanks for posting. Hearing the NBA on NBC intro takes me back to my childhood and tripleheaders on the weekends. Great time to be a fan. I am also an out of state Rocket fan (born and raised in Michigan) and have never been to Houston let alone Texas. There are a few things I was wondering that a native Houstonian could answer: 1) How different if any is downtown from the shot in the beginning to what it looks like today? 2) I have become interested lately in how Houston is not considered a big market and Dallas is. After looking up some figures, I found the city of Houston has a larger population then the city of Dallas and the metro populations of each area are very similar with the Dallas area having a slightly larger area. So why is Houston not considered a major market like Dallas?
1) maybe a few more buildings..that viewpoint actually looks pretty far from downtown. 2) Dallas is not a major market. I'd say they are on par with Houston. The only extra push for the argument they have is the Cowboys which many outside the country are familiar with.
I remember the NASTIEST BLOCK I EVER SEEN. Robert Horry stuffing Horace Grant from behind on a break away dunk Rocket River
