i believe that DM would gladly take a chance on a Freak athlete at 5 spot. Morey Hits more then he misses on trades..Having said that, Houston has a long tradition on Centers. I am sure he some how he was traded here, One of are past centers, and even Mchale would tutor him in the fine art of not being a Basketball IQ r****d

    Wow all the Hate!!

Jeez the guy has made some bonehead decisions and hasn't always lived up to his potential but he is a legit 7' big man who is only 24. I would take him in a heartbeat. Most of his issues would become a moot point on a good team. He would have the teammates, the coaching, and the incentive to play hard.

I'll take him. He's on ****ty team playing for nothing. Of course he's going to have fun. In fact, his trade value should be very low as of now.

I'd love to see a future frontcourt of Patterson when he's back to normal form, Donuts, and Mcgee. Not sure how it would work trade wise.

And mcgee would only be eligible for the mle?

I'm surprised this guy hasn't been mentioned more. Why aren't the Rockets pursuing him. He is a restricted free agent. I haven't even heard much through the media.

idk either... ive advocated signing him... i know denver sent out an offer(maybe jus qualifying) but i would love him... hes going to work with hakeem this offseason(or so i hear) and he is a stud... but then again we have our sights set on bigger centers...

but it makes me wonder why teams without a center and cap space arent signing him... like portland or memphis....

I haven't heard much about him either, but I would love to sign him. I have started following him on twitter recently and he has joked about joining the Heat.

I think McGee would be a great center to grow with our new young team. Thats if we keep the team and not piss it away on Howard.

Agree. He showed some real potential after the trade. Not sure why the Rockets haven't looked into him.

If we are not going to trade for a star player we might as well tank, why bother going through the mediocre BS again...

Rockets should seriously consider going after this guy before someone else makes him an offer.
