Trading and then signing Bynum would be the biggest mistake the Rockets could make. He has a bad attitude and he wouldn't have Kobe around to keep him accountable. Think Carlos Lee. After Bynum gets paid, he will mail it in. Say NO to Bynum!
SMH If you do not trade for Bynum he will take the extra $35 million dollars and sign with the Lakers. No second chance there. Bynum is currently on a $17 million dollar contract. What makes you all feel he will "mail it in" if he is on a $20 million dollar contract? Howard is better of course, but if we obtain Bynum he is almost guaranteed to sign with the Rockets long term. There is nothing not to like about Bynum's game. He would be an anchor for the Rockets and could be pivot able in signing other franchise players. Opportunities to land a top 15 player are few and far between. The second best center in the NBA would be a critical addition to the Rockets. Who knows? Could lead to a CP3 signing or something else big.
Agreed with earlier posts, Rockets need to get him now rather then later. Don't want to pass up an opportunity like this up.
Bynum got 18ppg and 11rpg last season and it was a lockout season he could easily become a 20/10 guy. I'm pretty sure players would want to play with him. And good all star center are very hard to come by these days anyway.
After the Rockets trade and sign him we will have 4 years to entice him in staying. Look, once we get him the Rockets are instantly a playoff team.
Let's get bynum + hill ( play him at pf and not out of position center and tell him to grab boards, play d and get bynum trash points and that's backing up Monte!)+ Maybe we can grab a pg maybe sessions /felton if not Lin and you Send out a decent front court that can learn and grow together. All are young..... front court: c:Bynum, forgot asik?! pf:Monte, hill, Jones
What's the over/under on how many games before Bynum gets 1. Hurt or 2. Ejected or 3. Takes a cheap shot at another player or 4. loses interest But hey, at least we would help the Lakers stay contenders!
