The thing which gives me the sick feeling is the possibility that at the end of all this, we don't end up with Howard, or Bynum, or Asik or Lin, we strike out on everything we tried. Yes we would have good picks and a lot of good young talent, and maybe it would even be for the best in the long run.

But if that happens, you would just have to ask yourself, what the &^%@&^ is wrong with the GM's in this league, that they do not want to make sensible deals? Is it that Morey has everyone convinced that if they make a deal with us, that they will end up on the losing end, because that is Morey's rep?

I just don't get it when this stuff happens.

I HOPE it doesn't this time either, but that would definitely be the sick feeling for me.

That ought to seal it folks. Unless Hennigan is unloading every single bad contract on his books onto the Nets their deal is dead.

Right but wasn't the speculation here that he wouldn't sign another MAX deal with Houston? Anyway, that is a lot of money to turn one's back on and I suppose we'll soon see if he can not only talk the talk but walk the walk.

This 4 year/58 mill deal for Lopez screams that the Nets are bowing out of race because Magic are asking for too much.

Adrian Wojnarowski... This is Brooklyn's way to stave off Lopez offer sheet elsewhere, and crushing a s&t possibility for DH

Exactly any team, other than us (if we acquired him)
can't sign him to the 7 year deal right?
So he'd sign a 4 year deal then hope he's as good after 30 to
get another contract...he's going to have to one stupid guy to
not take the money from the team he's traded to.
Howard and his agent are bluffing to force the Nets deal, which still
makes no sence to me bc it will be a rival for the Magic
...and nets best part of pkg is brook Lopez - if I were aGM
I'd want cap space cap space and more, and PICKS-not an overrated big man
who will be overpaid bc of the lack of average big men.
Orlando needs to stop picking up the phone for the nets
Morey has done everything possible to acquire whatever the ORL
FO said they wanted-he might be low balling a little at the moment, but let him
Until he has to throw all the chips in the basket

He would still have to be signed and traded to wherever he wants to go which means the Rockets would likely recover a good chunk of what was invested into the Dwight trade. Call me crazy, but I can't see Dwight willing to just give up a crap load of cash.

Nets just turned a decent trade piece (Lopez) into a dangerous contract.

    Nets are done here.

So is it finally down to the Lakers and Houston?

    I sure hope so.

As long as the nets are out, I'm ok. If the Lakers get Howard, we would likely get Bynum. If any other team gets him, oh well.
