Speaking of 0%... I believe the odds of Ric Bucher keeping his job is 0%. LOL...

He's just pouting because we got the All-Star game in Houston and his city didn't... :p

Ding!Ding!Ding! We finally have a winner, and ill also add its not so much the "facts"but just what makes the most sense to the Orlando.
Keeping Howards desires aside we our offer outweighs any teams offer by a mile,IF (and thats a big if)Orlando wants to rebuild....which is the direction they have shown the most desire to take...

I don't think I need to point anywhere, because it is everywhere. The only reason Dwight Howard is being traded...is because he won't resign with the team he is on now. Why would he re sign with the Rockets, especially after saying he absolutely would not. It is not like we will have the pieces this next year to show him that we can contend. RENTAL...is all he is, and a costly one.

Dwight lead a Magic team to the NBA Finals as their centerpiece. His presence completely transforms a defense. It's much harder for people to drive and slash in when he's there protecting the rim. A strong defense is a good place to start while acquiring more talent and pieces to place around him. At least that's my opinion!

It makes me happy that you've only posted 9 times. I am curious to now go review the other eight posts, but I'm going to avoid it. Must. avoid. it.

Dallasites are like the mutated offspring of an affair between Dolly Parton and Rick Perry.

I agree; it's a longshot. But there's something about the confidence of the Howard camp through this that is unsettling, as well as the complete lack of logic of any Nets-related deal. Maybe it's all an act. But DeVos is an 86-year-old man who genuinely seems to like and respect Howard. If he still gets the final say, I'm nervous until the ink on Brook Lopez' contract (with the Nets) is dry.

Please point out to where i said we were not going to get Howard. I just said it looks like we may be getting Bynum instead. You just took it and ran with it.

Good post meh, but I wanted to focus on this part a bit. Ever since Dragic walked I have been very worried about Houston's ability to potentially surround Howard with good players and compete for a title immediately. I have full confidence that Morey in the long term could build a team around Howard, but, as you mention, I have less confidence Howard would stay around that long if results can not be had this season.

This is why I would prefer Bynum over Howard. Howard is doubtlessly better, but I would prefer to mine and develop the young talent on the team around Bynum as opposed to giving away value on deals to win now (like we did back in the Gay-Battier trade).

I'll be very happy if Howard is traded here, but I think Bynum is the better team building option for where the Rockets are situated right now (besides, by the time the Rockets would have built up around Bynum, Kobe, Nash and Gasol will be more past their primes; OKC will be making tough salary cap decisions; and the window of the Spurs will have closed-- but even with Howard, for the next year or two, I don't think Houston can catch either of those three teams).

How you going to say you can't win without Dwight as your best player? What kind of team are you thinking we can make? There are less than five players IN THE WORLD that are better than Dwight and he will never be on a team with any of them... Unless it's at the olympics!

And why does everyone think we can just be bad for a year and then all of a sudden we are going to draft a franchise player and be great? You have to have the perfect storm to get in a position to draft a superstar!

Funny how I wasn't the only one who thought this, though, huh? Kinda strange  You knew what you were doing. Don't play stupid.

The Nets should be completely removed from all talks concerning Dwight at this point. It's ridiculous. And yet it's still the talking point on ESPN.

It's the power of the media. NY and LA are always "in the mix" of trades and free agent signings according to the media. Remember how sure they were that Lebron was signing with the Knicks?

He's legit. I believe he's their beat writer.

Bucher is really trying to save the Nets from looking like idiots. ESPN is begging! Begging! for the Nets to land Howard.

    .577 career FG%

I don't care where it's shot from if it goes in. With him, it goes in way more than it doesn't. Bynum does have him beat in FT%. After shooting 67% his rookie year, Howard's hasn't been above .596 (with a low of .491 this past season which could be attributed to back problems).

621 games played out of a possible 640 regular season games. Durability has not been in question until now (and it likely is a problem that was fixed with surgery). I'm not quite sure where the "injury prone" comes from in regards to DH. In comparison, Bynum has played 392 out of a possible 558 games.

My opinion is this...Yes, the Rockets are certainly be better with Bynum than they have been. But that likely just means they end up with the 15th or 16th pick as the first team out of the playoffs. With Howard, the team is instantly better and much more of a threat. If he stays, they become a possible free agent destination.

I'd be happy with Bynum. I'd be jumping up and down with Howard.

I know. It's just maddening. We get treated like the stepchild of the media.

He just said the Nets are still the team that can offer the best deal, realistically. In other news, I vomited.
