The Nets are gonna be good this year

Marshon Brooks will probably come of the bench.. so you know they will at least make the playoffs

Dont sleep on Tyshawn Taylor, that kid is has some nice potential

I could imagine this happening actually, or something close to it. I could see Orlando shutting down the trade talk with Dwight saying he wants to reevaluate his commitment in the offseason or something. I wouldn't be stunned at all if Hennigan has managed to drag this out long enough to eliminate the Nets in an effort to scare Dwight into staying.

Being the second best at your position DOES NOT MAKE YOU A SUPERSTAR. You can list the 2 best pg, sg, etc. and yes, both are superstars, but that doesn't make you're 'top 2 are superstars' theory an absolute. What if Bynum and Howard never existed? Would you be telling me that Hibbert and... Cousins? (or Nene? Chandler?) are superstars? Should we be trying to build around them?

Got it. Thanks for educating me. Good stuff. Repped.

I think we might actually have our centerpiece for the next 6 years!

Please recall that I'm predicting a strikeout here. I have a suspicion that the agents are manipulating the league to a degree we don't know and that Dwight will either go to Brooklyn, LA or stay put. I just don't blame Morey for it.

    Bynum IS a superstar

The fact that Bynum put up the numbers he did last year playing alongside Pau Gasol, and Kobe chucking up shots is incredible

Their were games i watched on the league pass, where Bynum ONLY had 6-7 touches and scored on about 4 of them, but had 19 rebounds, and 4 or 5 blks

I prefer Bynum over Dwight for a mulitude of reasons

And yes Bynum is better than Melo. The Knicks would offer Melo and Chandler to the Lakers for Bynum right now

The NBA salary system is very convoluted lol. We've only touched the surface! :)

Bima should do a thread running through the whole structure and sticky it so people can reference it with all of our questions.

I would rather go for Bynum but DonkeyMagic makes good points.
If Bynum comes relatively cheap, ie without giving up D-Mo,I could live with it.

    Bynum is not a superstar

but he does have potential to be called one especially at his age

Houston is the perfect place for him

also wzup wit Jeremy Lin, did the Knicks match the offer yet??? If not, whats the deadline to do so

It wasn't an argument about whether Bynum is a superstar. It was a statement about your posting style.

No deal can involve D-Mo, he's the only rookie we've signed and cannot be traded for... a period of time I don't remember off the top of my head. Our cocky Lithuanian will (probably) be here next year.

Bro i have to agree OmerLK, if you dont think Bynum is a Superstar.. you are nuts

look at his PER.. and advanced TS%, his POST D, jumphook

He had 30 rebounds againist the Spurs this year

He is a Superstar, the fact that had he put up the numbers he did last year, is even more crazy considering that Kobe had the highest usage rate in NBA History last year, and he was playing alongside Pau Gasol

you have no basis for saying the knicks WOULD offer melo and tyson for Bynum. I could sit here and say that Toronto would give a bag of hot cheetoes for Bynum, but it doesn't mean squat unless you can back it up homie.
