One more point about these three picks which has been glassed over here is that Morey tried to make the point several times that they plan on running "an uptempo system." Here is the quote I pulled from Morey at the post-draft presser. He had talked through Lamb and White already and was into Jones when he said:
He made the uptempo point again later.

Besides our 3 current draft guys, Donuts fits this mold too as he runs very well for a big.

Eric Gordon would have been a fit too (and still has an outside shot it seems of still being that guy for us).

I seems unlikely Asik can run the floor with these guys so perhaps we will have a second unit that will push the ball while the first unit is more half-court? I look forward to seeing what they come up with as it has the potential to be exciting ball if McHale an actually pull it off.

I've been very high on Terrence Jones. Even though he seemed a lil' shy/nervous in interviews. He obviously doesn't play like it.

Parsons mentions Jones first out of the three rookies: http://www.nba.com/rockets/video/2012/07/08/ZOOM0001MOV-2150332

McHale mention Jones as a player he really likes @ the 2:20 mark: http://www.nba.com/rockets/video/2012/07/09/ZOOM0005MOV-2151147

A lot of folks already know what Lamb and White will bring, but were and have been confused with choosing Jones @ #18 (He should have gone higher). Hopefully with him being the Rocktets third pick, he wouldn't be requested in a potential trade... Or who knows? Maybe he has been requested and Morey has refused to include him. Either way, he's going to surprise a lot of people.

^^^ True. But I believe Jones is starting to prove it in practice. Time will tell

We might have picked all three of them for Orlando. Let's see tomorrow.

I like that Terrance Jones is left handed and I like that Lamb can cut to the basket, but I don't like that these guys are not even close to being able to carry a team.

Raptors fan who wanted them to draft Lamb...here are some game highlights I made of him in the last couple of months. People who think Lamb can't create his own shot are mistaken, he has the best pullup jumper in the draft, can create space easily for his shot, put the ball on the floor and make crafty shots like runners/floaters etc. He is the best combo of length, athleticism, skills and upside out of the all the perimeter players in this draft.

Just because they were all drafted together, developing together doesn't mean only one will stand out. To me "great" potential means they can potentially ALL be "great". I agree with OP. If they don't get traded I feel "great" about all three picks.

I hope we'd atleast keep Lamb, since Martin would most likely be included in the trade. Dwight will need players that can shoot around him.
