Yeah I agree. It shows that superstars are very important feature for the Rockets. I am glad McGrady and Yao played for Rockets because without them, we wouldnt know the importance of getting superstars.

Little did Tracy know that the Magic did wonders by drafting Dwight Howard. If he had stayed and toughed it out, he could've had a chance at winning in Orlando. Then again his injuries would've hit him still so who knows. oh well

That's what he had requested from Orlando - a big that can play. SA was already successful without him. He probably didnt wanna play with Kobe in LA. He wanted to go to a team where HE was the missing piece that could lift the team into a contender, which i think he did, regardless of the 1st round exits.

I dont think you can compare the Yao/Tmac relationship to the "bromance" between Wade/Lebron/Bosh or Dwight/DWill

I think if either of the 2 (Yao or T-Mac) were still healthy and contributing, it would attract more FA's our way. But what screwed us what that they both went out at the SAME TIME.

08-09 - T-Mac out with Microfracture/Yao out with broken foot
    09-10 - T-Mac not 100%-traded/Yao out full year
10-11 - Yao injured in 5th game of season-forced to retire
    11-12 - Begin Rebuilding

The Rockets didn't really do anything from 2011-2012 but just put a bandage on the team...

Not sure how I'm stupid? This guy was saying he was proud or whatever that T-Mac didn't just go play with superstars but Yao was the biggest superstar in the world... no we were not a great team before he came but neither was Miami before Lebron went there, the only differences Is no TV show and no unveiling!

...you are acting like a newbie yourself in bumping an old thread. The forum rules are clear on this: start a new thread with a link to the old one. Bumping opld threads is bad news

On some of the other forums I'm on "bumping" ancient threads get that thread locked up and the offender gets warned. If it happens again, he's suspended for a while.

After another infraction, it's banishment time and believe it or not, some guys have gotten that because they refused to stop doing it...

Pretty crazy that the Magic could have had this team if Tracy would have been patient...

    PG- Jameer Nelson/Tyronn Lue
    SG- Tracy McGrady
    SF- Grant Hill/Drew Gooden
    PF- Juwan Howard
    C- Dwight Howard

Of course Grant Hill still would have had his injury issues, but they would have definitely have been a team to reckon with!
