The other Day i was at H-E-B doing some grocery shopping. I was pushing my grocery cart along the dairy section and stopped to reorganize some cheese products that some shopper had carelessly strewn around(HaHa just kidding about that). I was standing next to my cart looking for some Kraft american singles. I turn around to put them in my cart and i see this super old lady(she had snow white hair, one of those old lady gowns, and old lady slippers)walk up to my cart, which was filled to the to the top with groceries, put the gallon of potato salad she was holding into my cart and started pushing it away like it was hers. I was struck with confusion for a second but then quickly retook possession of my cart because i didn't want to give up all the groceries i had spent an hour collecting.I asked her if she was okay and she responded in an apolegetic and embarrassed way. i smiled and said it was okay. The guy next to me saw it happen too and gave me one of those "Did that just happen" faces. Is this what you call a senior moment? I laughed for about a good minute but felt kind of bad. I know its not right to be joking about a lady that might have alzheimer's or be senile, so sorry if i offend any one, but that really put a smile on my face. Does any one know any elderly people that do things like this sometimes? You know, like that old man from "Planet of the Apes". Also , have any of u ever experienced a senior moment/mental lapse. For instance, sometimes when I'm making toast ill pick up a magazine while i wait and forget that i put bread in the toaster. So when the bread pops out of the toaster the sound always startles me. <iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/owNO5s3eln4" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
My brother's late father-in-law while attending a UT football game, got up to go to the bathroom. He never came back. Mistakenly, he had left the stadium, somehow found his car and drove home. He simply lost the thought...

Geez, that's scary. How was his recollection of the event? Did he just blank out and go into auto-pilot, and if so how did he drive home??
That happened to me a few weeks ago at HEB! I took some guy's cart and nearly left the aisle with it before he stopped me. Am I getting old?
When I was 16 or so I was at the grocery store with my mom getting some stuff. We only had a few things in our cart and were just a couple steps away from it when some large, muscle-covered middle-aged man calmly grabbed the cart and started pushing it away. I called out to him and said that he had taken our cart with our things in it. He just looked back at me and said, "I know." Then he continued to walk away. I just stood there, not knowing what to do. It was like something out of Seinfeld. (Not a senior moment but a grocery cart moment...)
On a cold winter day I came home after a long day of work and wanted to drink a warm glass of water, so i put the glass in the microwave for about a minute. When I took it out I realized I hadn't filled it with any water so the glass was empty and hot. Then I proceed to fill it up with cold water from the tap and the whole thing shattered right in my hand. Happened at the ripe old age of 24.
After eating breakfast one morning, I proceeded to take my plate and glass to the restroom sink until I caught myself thinking "WTF?" I took it back to the kitchen where my mom was just laughing at me.
I forgot to put water in one of those ramen noodle soups before putting it in the microwave once. Smoked up my kitchen pretty bad.
