Why would you trade this joker to someone in your own conference? And for Brook Lopez (who I sorta like if he were paired with someone who rebounds)?? Just makes very little sense.

The hold up is finding a team that's willing to take him on. I have no idea what assets they have left to compensate the team willing to do this.

A lot of yall are coming up with different ways of saying the same ****.

Stop saying that Orlando shouldn't feel pressured to sending Dwight where he wants to go. He's given Orlando his all. These players/agents talk and all stick together. It IS a big deal when you have big time agents that could threaten a team by possibly pursuading a big named cleint to not join that franchise via free agency, draft etc.

Dwight has voiced his concerns about the organization publicly. He's a superstar... Players listen

Lopez was paired with someone who rebounds, Kris Humphries.

A possibility is that the Nets are being used to pressure the real targets: LA, Houston.
Anything is possible, of course, but I don't see Lopez as a foundation piece or a franchise player.

Wonder how much power the agents have. Dan Fegan and Arn Tellem are certainly some of the bigger agents out there.

I think there was one story where Fegan used Jason Richardson's free agency status when he was the Warriors franchise player to force Golden State to give Troy Murphy a huge contract.

Humphries hasn't had any offers? Really? Teams are dishing out the dough for guys like Jamal 39% Crawford but nobodies going after a proven double double rebounder in Humphries? Surprising.

Inflated rebounding numbers because the Nets frontcourt were so bad and Lopez was out but Lopez isn't much of a rebounder anyway. He's also an inefficient scorer, not what is expected from a big man.

Seems like it's more like he prefers to play in Brooklyn rather than Orlando. Not that he wouldn't want to be in Orlando.

    You are right!

Still though if it is S&T I don't think Lopez turns that down, I think he'd just be bummed about going right back to a rebuilding team when finally his team put some solid pieces in place to contend for the playoffs.

It's literally his choice though. Why would he choose to leave the team he loves?

I don't buy this stupid argument at all. Players and above all agents understand this is a business and that teams will always do what is best for their organization.

Furthermore when was the last time a free agent superstar said "I'm taking my talents to Orlando" anyway. They have established a pattern of losing guys to free agency, not the other way around.
