And I'm hoping the 29th and winning one is DM ...If everyone puts their biases aside and looks at all the trade offers, its clear the rockets by far have the best offer...the only way the Lakers move ahead of us is if Bynum agrees to an extension before hand..otherwise no at Orlando pulls that deal..and reports are Bynum is not committing to Orlando extension...thus I think its our race to lose

Bro, if I were Hennigan, I'd much r ather have Horford or Bynum than anything the rockets could offer. I'm not trying to be a hater, just trying to be objective. You can build around those two guys and they're both young.

Show me an offer than could offer the magic more than 1 all- star, Kevin Martin, 2 first rounders, 2 young prospects, and all while shedding three contracts.

Seriously, how do the Nets top that?

^^ Why would the Magic want an all-star that was old?

Maybe they could flip him for another pick from a team that would want him?

NBA Teams are businesses and you have to sell your fans on something not named JJ Reddick?

I said that our offer is better than the Lakers if Bynum won't sign the extension. and he has indicated that he won't sign in Orlando at this point...he might later...but i don't think Orlando will pull the trigger until they have a commitment from him

Honestly, I still think this could be a four-team deal with the T-Wolves getting involved also. They want Gasol, we likely would be glad to have Bynum (especially if he wants to be here and would sign an extension) and L.A. wants Howard. Plus, Orlando could shed some bad contracts in this deal, get a couple of young players from the Rockets and T-wolves and get draft picks.

Can someone explain how or why the Magic would oblige to give Howard what he wants by sending him to New Jersey? Jesus... I feel like I'm in crazy land.

To add-on to my above post, Kevin Love has indicated (per Yahoo! Sports) that the Wolves need to win now or he could opt out when possible in a couple of years. I don't really know that Minnesota takes that seriously, but if they do, that could make them even more desperate to grab Gasol in the four-team deal I mentioned above.

Y! Sources: As Orlando's hopes for a Dwight Howard deal with Lakers hit turbulence, Nets emerge again.

Per Woj: Lakers deal hits a snag because Bynum would not commit to staying in ORL long term (though would be willing to extend with the Lakers if not traded). Magic prefers Lopez to pieces that the Rockets offer. Lopez asking for the max contract extension from either Nets or Magic. One issue in Nets deal is to find another team willing to take Kris Humphries. Cleveland wants a draft pick to take Humphries on a 1 year $8-9M contract.

    My thoughts:

    1. Don't doubt Woj has sources. However, such sources have their own motivation for sharing info with reporters. Still not clear what will happen. Perhaps the Humphries hang-up is going to sway things Houston's way.

    2. Surprising that nobody wants Kris Humphries, even for 1 year.

    3. If Lopez wants the max, is he really worth it?

They should also write: "Meanwhile, back in the H, the Rockets have the most attractive offer that the Magic will take for rebuilding purposes. If the Lakers don't give up Bynum, the Magic will award Howard to the Houston Rockets. The garbage Nets package is just to lure Lakers into giving up Bynum. Again, the Nets package is just a decoy. Look at the rumored offer. It's garbage."

Nets have a center, Lakers have a center. The Rockets don't. They are on the outside looking in.
