Would you really be unhappy if the Rockets strike out in FA and go with youngsters?

Maybe the NBA could buy the team like New Orleans and we will be assured of getting a Emperor Stern guaranteed #1 overall pick.;)

-Hoping Asik/Lin offers are matched & we strike out in FA
-See what guys are worth keeping (I'm keeping my eyes on White/Motiejunas)
-I'll be watching for both HOU & TOR to loose so we end up with 2 top 10 picks
-Can amnesty Scola which is our only bad contract which I know they'll try to trade
-Next season we'll only have expiring's and rookie scale contracts
-If they want Howard wait and try and see if we can sign him next off-season without trading whats left of our roster.

I believe the 2013-14 season is where we get back on track and make the playoffs after sucking while rebuilding for a season. With Sergio Llull potentially coming over, top 10 draft picks, cap space, along with the improvement of our young guys we can determine our direction of the future and get our superstar to build around. So I don't mind suffering for a year, as long as we make the right decisions the off-season!

This team is better off now than we were 2 weeks ago.

agreed. wish we could find a way to keep Lin, but regardless, the rebuild has begun ...assuming Morey doesn't throw it all away by chasing veterans with attitude problems and bad backs. ;)

Absolutely not. The only thing that would make me unhappy right now is a trade for a non-superstar. I sure hope Les doesn't force his hand in an effort to be "competitive."

    nope....not at all.

    It's the best route.

    Cheap, young players with potential.

As many as they have, at least one or 2 will be an all-star given Morey's player picking ability.

    Just a numbers game.

Allows for FA flexibility as well as long as we have space to add other pieces around the emerged, player(s).

I would be pretty happy playing our young guns, and I don't even want to tank. Let's just develop the players we have.
