I cannot get this guy out of my mind
and since my good friend Francis3422 need
    something to talk about.

What about this guy. . .he is supercheat
I mean if we could trade Walt and
get this guy .. . I'd be happy

Cause he is like making less than a mil
Which is better than Walt's 5 mil
    then subtract Hakeem's contract
We'be be in a good position next yeat

    LET'S GIVE LEON A CHANCE!!

Do you really want a supercheat on your team? Hmmm...

That being said, I think one major new face per season is more than enough. We have Mo Taylor this year and of course our next supahstah, Damn Lanky. That's enough.

Oh yeah, and for The Cat's pleasure, we have that dynamite low-post force that can take it out to the 3 pt. line, Jason Collier, too.

I used to see Leon in the spring, around a friends apartment in Houston. He was trying to make a comeback then. I'm not sure what he has been doing lately, but he better have changed from the last time I saw him.

I would still like to check him out. Invite to camp?

That would be a good experiment to have with the young nucleus team. I'll say , let's give it a try if that will work let's ship Walt somewhere else and be on a better position for next years free agent.(CAP SPACE THAT IS!!)Can you Dig!

You guys are on that dope! thinking they let Walt go for Leon who is a addict in training.
He may be a veteran addict by the time the season starts.

why not just let Leon try to get his head straight before trying to make it in the NBA.

In the meantime he can "streetball" with all the other undesireables who have the talent, but for some reason or another, just can't cut it.

if he actually has talent anymore.

My dad currently is Leon Smith's agent. Leon is currently here in Houston working out with Priest Lauderdale and MC Mazique who played for Alabama. Leon is recovering from some personal problems and is slowly getting back into the shape he needs to be at to play at a high level. As for as Rocket interest in Leon from what my dad had told me the Rockets have no interest. Most NBA scouts and GM's have stated Leon needs to work on some parts of his game in the CBA or in Europe. Their is also a concern obviously with his maturation process. More than likely Leon will not play in the NBA this up coming season.

He is Leons agent Dr. Not exactly David Falk type, if u know what I mean. I mean what kind of player rumors is he going to come up with. Tim Breaux to sign with the Rockets, or Zan Tabak interested in the Rocks?

    Just playing Stevie [IMG]

To be honest, I dont post very often I usually just read other peoples threads. When I saw Rocket Rivers original topic, I decided to comment since I feel I have first hand knowledge about the situation. Leon has some real talent and I compare is body style to Kevin Garnetts. Unfortunately he has none of the intangibles! Leon is 6-10 when tremendous shot blocking and leaping ability. He is a long way from the NBA at this point. But you never know when my pops cell phone will ring.

I think the Rockets should as least bring him in and see what he is up to. If he has mad skills like everyone claims then put him on IR and send him to a shrink to help him straighten his life out, then bring him in slowing [IMG]

Priest Lauderdale, now there's a player. I couldn't believe the Hawks used their pick to draft him in the first round. What was the knock on him anyway?

Priest is a tremendous talent as well. He has a very solid offensive game. His problem lies in his conditioning and motivation to condition. His footwork on defense is a real problem area. For his size he should be able to block a ton of shots and from what Ive seen in practice games he struggles to block shots and play post defense. He is a nice person and could be a solid asset. As always Portland has interest in stopping Shaq and Priest is a legit 7-4.
