Truth, which is why I'm surprised he signed the offer sheet. He must be convinced the Knicks will match.

    wow so many hater here.

Lin will make 5 million his first year. Not really that much for a starting PG.

He will make 5.2 million his 2nd year. Again big whoop.

His third year he makes 10 million but remember he will be an "expiring" contract so this can easily be traded away and the Rockets don't have to pay Lin

4th year is a team option meaning they don't got to pick it up

This is a pretty good deal.

Dragic wanted 10 million starting his first year to stay with Houston. He took less to go to Phx like Nash took less to go to LAL instead of Tor. Nash left 11 million on the table.

Good deal for the rockets. Lin has a chance to be one of t he great pure point guards and he's only 24. Hope knicks don't match.

It was lose lose...either we offer him something so ridiculous the Knicks wouldn't match or we offer him market price and have the Knicks snap him up in an instant.

Kind of sad....Knicks fans are thanking us for saving them the time.

Knicks were warned of a storm but must have ran out of tanning lotion by now, it's going be a nice day at the beach for them.

Okay, I like Lin, but that big banner is really jumping the gun.

I mean, to quote that song in NBA 2K12, "IT'S NOT OVER YET."

Which reminds me--if the Knicks match, does that mean Lin HAS to re-sign with NY? Or could he still sign here if he wanted?

Hopefully NYK don't match. What's the luxury tax hit on them if they do?
