    Ok hang on a sec.

I notice you left LBJ off your list. How come? Don't you think Morey wanted LBJ too? Did Morey fail to land LBJ?

Oh wait, no, because there were other factors involved, such as the player had his sights set elsewhere.

And how exactly did Morey fail to land Gasol? I mean how can you possibly lay Stern's douche move at Morey's feet? Morey had the deal DONE.

Oh and you put Howard there as though that is a done deal. It's not. We still have the best deal sitting out there for Orlando.

Anyway, the point is, it takes two to tango. Houston is just one team out an entire league, and not every deal will involve us, not every quality player will end up playing for us, and not every move will benefit us.

Now I would get all this angst if the season were starting tomorrow, but it's not. We have no idea what the roster is going to look like when the season rolls around, but one thing is certain, it will not look the way it looks now.

Honestly, do you think there is anyone out there who wants the team to succeed MORE than Morey?

Now I am not with the OP on the idea that people need to pick another team or whatever. But damn folks, all this screaming and crying is making Rockets fans look like a bunch of little girls.

Clutchfans are smarter than this. Have a little patience and think before you type. (not you JV, I mean in general)

I am really sick of being called fickle just because I don't like the direction of management. I think it's primarily long-time, NOT fair-weather fans who are discontent. People have every right to be upset when they've invested a lot of time/heartache into a team.

Guess what OP? i agree with you completely (so everyone can bash me too), but lets sit back and take a good look at what we've had the past three years, a team that is better than half of the nba, but not as good as the other half. This in itself means we don't have the worst management in basketball, but you would think we did by reading these threads. Just like on 610 this morning they were saying "if we keep the team we have right now we will be the worst in the league and could get a top pick" REALLY??? That's just stupid, when we basically have the exact same team as last year right now with the addition of our rookies. One of the above post list all of the teams that have so called caught up and passed us, yet the Clippers are the only team on that list that had a better record than us, and we were a playoff caliber team until the last two weeks of the season (in the tough west) so can we really be that bad? Lots of people bash everything they don't understand (it's called ignorance), and the rockets management aren't interested in consoling ignorate fans.

You're only fickle if you post stuff like "gosh, if we get this so and so player I'm never rooting for the Rockets again" or "gosh, if we don't get this so and so player I'm turning my back on the Rockets".

Really? Ok so who have we lost as of right now? Dalembert, Bud, and Dragic. Am I missing someone or is this just the first thing you've read all week? We have an offer on the table for Asik to replace the bear, and Bud was a 3rd stringer. Dragic may hurt, but we have a starter in place already for him, so what makes this the dumbest thing you've read all week? Unless you just don't do much reading.

    Losing Lee as well.

So yeah the team is going to be quite different.

But losing Dragic and keeping Lowry - not much difference, as long as Lowry remains healthy.

Losing Lee, adding Lamb, well, we'll see. Lamb will probably take a while, so losing Lee may be a bigger ouch.

Losing Dalembert, well, if Chicago doesn't match Asik, or we end up with Noah, then that is a net positive.

Losing Bud, a shame yes, but Parsons is already almost everything we wanted Bud to be and more, so no big loss there.

So your point is still mostly valid, but the team is definitely going to be different.

Agreed. Fickle fans bailed a long time ago. The ones that are left now are the real fans. Just because some of the real fans don't like the direction that 2 guys are dragging their favorite team (that I've followed since Moses) and voice their displeasure, then the OP wants them out as fans. Only those that agree with Morey and Les can remain Rocket fans. Because a voice against Morey is a voice against Morey = Money.

Never can tell. DWade was a tenth overall pick. Bosh was an under-achieving soft big man. Then came LBJ: first he got Cleveland to the finals, then he eventually got a championship in Miami after failing last year.

Twelve guys on that Heat roster are pretty forgettable. If a couple of our young guys (Morris, Motiejunas, Parsons, Llull, Lamb, Royce, TJones, Furckan) step up their game, we might make some noise in a couple of years. Throw in Asik and maybe Lin and whoever else is coming....

The key to life is discernment, my friend. We lost players at positions we are desperately thin at. Dragic leaving doesn't just hurt, it makes the unhappy Kyle Lowry situation even worse. And I'm sorry but Asik is not the answer, I'll refrain from calling him garbage. Actually, no I won't. Asik is garbage and so is that contract. Lastly, we're considering overpaying for a PG we let go to the Knicks. $30 million for Lin? And all Morey can say is "We should've kept him"? Yah don't say! I'm sorry, but I do NOT support Morey any longer. I'm not fickle. I'm pissed.
