http://www.nfl.com/schedules/2003opponents.html Home: Indianapolis, Jacksonville, Tennessee, New England, N.Y. Jets, Atlanta, Carolina, Kansas City Away: Indianapolis, Jacksonville, Tennessee, Buffalo, Miami, New Orleans, Tampa Bay, Cincinnati SO glad we get to play with the NFC South... I'm a little confused on how we get to play Buffalo and Cin again. Anyone have insight in how Conference opponents are chosen?
That is a tough schedule. We only face 3 official playoff teams, but there are 3 othes (Miami, New England, and New Orleans) with winning records that were ousted from the postseason on the final week of the 2002 season. The offense better improve sharply if we want to better the team's inaugural season record.
I used to be optimistic, but the team showed little offensive promise and the running game was horrid. I think 4 or 5 wins barely. If Boselli comes backs maybe six. But the team was terrible and I think it would be expecting too much too think they could get enough firepower for seven wins. They could, however, trade Lewis for something. He's a proven return man that some teams could really use RIGHT now.
Now that sounds like fun. I may try the same thing, since I couldn't get my hands on any tickets in Houston this year.
Yes. Update your signature! Too bad McGahee is out for ONE YEAR. I envision the Texans with 8-9 wins!
Ooops. The Texans play Buffalo because they're in the AFC East, which the entire AFC South plays in toto. Kansas City is on the schedule because they finished last in their division.
They are an extremely tough last place team though. 8-8 record, might've made the playoffs if Preist Holmes wasn't injured. My prediction, and you can keep me to this: 7-9.
Yes, they are a tough last place team. I was just noting why they were on the schedule since the question was asked (of Buffalo and Cincy) in the original post.
guys, guys, guys... didn't this year teach us anything? whatever looks "tough" in january won't hold water once the games start. much, much too early to start handicapping.
exactly!! remember how our entire division was under .500 last year?? remember how the rams and patriots were in the super bowl last year?? the nfl is too unpredictable right now... who of us didn't pick the rams to make the playoffs this year??
