Malone fought with everything he had to win. He just wanted it more than most other guys. If the refs were going to let him play physical then he was going to try to use that to win. As a Jazz fan I can't thank Malone enough for what he gave me over the years. One of the greatest players of all time.
Also, one of two MVP's without a Championship Ring. which is why I will say that I am grateful my prayers *on page 2* were answered. GOD > *Anything Jazzhole .
malone and stockton were one of the dirtiest, if not the dirtiest, duos to play the game... all that dirty play and no championship to show for it..

short shorts. are too short. one of the reasons why the jazz will always be the lame "hard working team" with no championships.
Check out this video against Rodman. <iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/OdUT3GPlGwU" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> If you watch it closely this is what Malone did to Rodman (PLAY-BY-PLAY) 1) Rodman gets the rebound and tries to secure it from Malone. 2) Malone (NFL-banned) chop blocks Rodman for the loose ball. With his body falling toward the ground at full force he almost tears out Rodman's knee (ACL) and/or severly spraining his ankle. 3) While going down he misses with a right forearm shiver - if Rodman didn't fall backwards away from Malone that elbow could have broken a rib easily. 4) While he tries to get up his elbow points in the direction of Rodman's face. Malone then grabs a piece of Rodman's jersey to push him back down. 5) Instead of pushing him down he decides to put his entire body weight on Rodman's rib area. You can see both legs lift off the ground at around the 46 second mark. 6) After thrusting his body into Rodman's rib cage his body doesn't hit the floor but instead lands on Rodman's back foot potentially twisting/dislocating it from its socket. 7) With Rodman semi-pinned down he gets up slowly so that he can deliver a left elbow to Rodman's gut area. And i'm sure Rodman wasn't expecting this blow out of all other cheap shots. Thus the reason he falls to the floor. 8) And once again! Mailman tries to fall on Rodman's right foot trying to sprain his ankle while looking innocently at the referee for "help". 9) Both The Mailman and The Worm get up at the same time instead of walking away Malone decides to bull rush him at the 52 second mark. If you pause this video clip it looks like a Ray Lewis hulk smash hit. 10) He delivers a left elbow to Rodman's chin for good cause while running back for offense. Rodman falls on his back (the floor meets the back of his head) and Malone trips from a pinky finger AND finally gets the foul call - Rodman's 3rd personal. The sad part of the story is watching Malone's face/body language it appears that all this was normal and "part" of the game to him. Rodman was probably laughing and grinning the entire time thinking it was all fun & games. If Rodman wasn't worm-like/crash-test-dummy during those 12 seconds he could have easily been in the ER getting plastic surgery.
