Hey. . . You remember that time Murray traded Aaron Brooks for a first rounder + filler.

If you are Goran's beautiful girlfriend, please send me pictures. You can do it through Clutch on the board. He'll find me after making sure they aren't pictures of Goran sunbathing nude on the beaches of the Adriatic. Thanks in advance. Oh, and I'm truly devastated to lose Gogi to the dastardly Suns. Just devastated.

There has to be a plan. There just has to. Maybe Morey saw in his statistics that overpaid guards or teams that allocate their cap mostly to point guards don't win championships.

Yes, you did. It wouldn't surprise me if you (and Clutch and the rest of the guys) get to see Goran in the stands with his beautiful girlfriend. I want you to know that we all expect pictures, especially of Gogi's girlfriend. Thanks in advance. I trust that you can carry off this burden with elan.

Gogi is just a better overall player than Lin. Better shooter, finisher, and defender. If you are not signing dragic, then we shouldn't have wasted time with Lin and just took that time to make up to Lowry and his awesome contract value. Dragic >Lowry>Lin. I hate pgs that play zero d.

True and I believe Mchale will be gone after this year. I hate see Goran go though because I thought he was better than Kyle and waay better than Lin who they are offering 4/30 money.

It just goes to show you Le$'s priorities. I still love the Rockets but it's getting harder to follow when your leaders care more about money and marketing than building a championship team.

Well, I'm disappointed. I really think Dragic will be a very good PG for a long time. However, if we are really going to go young then it probably won't matter much. If we keep Lowry, maybe he will feel he has something to prove and play some great ball. It could be that Phoenix was prepared to outbid the Rockets even if we had offered considerably more, so it may have been almost impossible for the Rockets to keep Dragic. Lets face it, Phoenix was pretty desperate to find a replacement for Nash, while the Rockets have always had the option to keep Lowry.

I'm not super excited about Lin, If we didn't want to overpay Dragic, then I don't want to overpay for Lin.

I cant understand where we are going.
we have build a lot in 2 years, step by step
and now we blow it all

we let Dragic and Lee go for nothing
ok still have Lowry for the PG position, but its no brainer if you have 2 close to All Star PG, you can trade 1 to upgrade another position.
And Lin is < than goran and for the same money?????????
and lee??? how is going to play the SG lamb???

Tankers must be in heaven with those move.

    I'm very sad

Yes, he is of the desert variety of Pokemon, who prefer to linger in large fields of sand and eat cacti.

It's always so amusing to see that every Clutchfans member was in the room and present during all contract negotiations that they do. From the looks of this thread, Morey must've hosted the Dragic negotiations in a ballroom.

It's SOOO tiring to see you guys b****ing like little girls like "Morey lowballed him and got played.. I hate him now.. USELESS!!!" Seriously.. you have ZERO idea what took place during negotiations. There are so many other factors and it's so more complicated than what the average Clutchfans user understands.

    1. Lowry is a better defender and costs less.
    2. Lin is a MUCH bigger draw and costs about the same.

With Lin, the Rockets are gambling that he can play at a level similar to that from his run last year. If that gamble fails, well, oof. If that gamble pays off than they will have a starter at the All-Star game and the most marketable league player in Asia (as we did with Yao) for a few years. Dragic's deal doesn't earn the Rockets much money. On the flip side, Lin will MORE than pay for his deal.

    'Tis a business...

They won't be gambling anything with Lin. He didn't accept their offer yesterday and left town. And if he does accept their offer New York will match it.

What the hell kind of rebuild is that?

The "in Morey we trust" spin machine is revving up. Remember, he can do no wrong. This is for sure, the 2012-2013 Rockets won't look anything like last year. They could be a lot worse.
