What is the one thing you are so, maybe too competitive at?

I got to thinking, I was playing NBA LIVE online tonight and I basically realized that I get really intense when I play online against other people.

I can't stand losing to people online, I wanna make a statment against whoever I play. I want them to know I am the real deal. That I am the "s***" if you will.

You know that Mark Cuban commerical where he plays NBA shootout 2003, and starts yelling. Well that is me sometimes. Except I don't throw things (yet).

When I play against a real good player, I make everyone around me leave, so i can have complete focus, that is where I think i am too competitive, but I get easily distracted when others are in my presence while I am playing NBA LIVE Online.

Of course I know better than to play NBA LIVE Online when I my friends are chillin with me, so I am not that bad I guess.

    What are you competitive at?

I used to be really competitive at Super Smash Bros and NBA2K1

I cannot stand NBA Live. I bought it last week from Best Buy and it's the worst basketball sim I've ever played =[

both of these are fabulous games. I think Smash Bros. on N64 might be my favorite game of all time. What character are you? I bet I could dominate you with Luigi at Link's level;) .

I am pretty competative at real basketball. I don't mind losing occasionally, and I am not one of those intense guys who dives all over the court and throws 'bows. However, I must prove anyone who believes they can shut me down in a game wrong.

I am also competative at beer pong, not "beirut" or whatever most people play. It is similar but with paddles and played like ping pong with elaborate rules. good game.

I remain undefeated with Kirby to this very day, on any level, any time, any place.

I have never lost to any number of human opponents or CPU opponents. =]

My brother and I would beat the snot out of each other when we played Tecmo Bowl back in the day. It would royally piss him off when he picked the right play and his defense rushed in but my guy caught the pass anyway. :D

ahh damn someone had to beat me to tecmo super bowl. i brought up my nintendo to college this year for the sole purpose of playing TSB with my roommate and we have been friends since kindergarten and we actually just had to stop playing each other after only one season (and it probably should've been sooner) b/c we would get so pissed at each other. luckily i was better (i've had if for the last 13 years, i hope i'm better) but i had to always defend myself against accusations of somehow cheating him (and he got pissed b/c the game sure did a good job making it look like i was) and so basically we just stopped playing like 3 months ago and haven't touched it since.

there was an incident involving the game Passport many years ago (when i was like 10) but that was more a general board game thing than passport. so basically any board game, especially RISK, that game just pisses me off so much.

I bet you use that cheezy drill kick to get some easy kills...

Link is my man, but he gets thrown too easily. I play Mario solo and Link when on a team.

Have you guys played Smash Bros. Melee? I'm not a fan of the changes, but the extra characters and stages make up for it.

A couple of my friends and I would play some intense games of NBA Live (I can't remember if it was '99 or '00, probably 99). He would always choose the Sonics and rain down on me with threes, while I would just choose randomly depending on how I felt. So many games ended in controllers being slammed to the ground (they were mine, too!) and profanities being screamed at one another. Good times.

I like it, but I think that there is almost too much going on when you are playing it. I still think its fun, but I enjoy the pure simplicity of the original.

My problem is that I am too competitive at everything! Video games, basketball, rugby, Trivial Pursuit, basically anything where there is a winner and a loser...

It was the 1st edition of Tecmo bowl. I could win with any team and my friends hated me. Then Superbowl Tecmo came out and my Buffalo firiends played me (oilers). Those were some of the most intense video games ever. Real life added fuel to the fire. But now I could care less. I don't have to win.

In real life, women. I hate to lose. But luckily I keep all of that on the inside. Well, most of it. When it does get out it's ugly.

Street Fighter before they added in the one-button-fifty-five-hit combos.

I have a friend who is extremely competitive at Wrestlemania 2000. One day, I was using the Rock and he made a rare blunder I was able to capitalize on (I think he was using a Jim Duggan CAW). So anyway, I start taking it to him. The People's Elbow is a regular move on that game, so I start delivering them left and right. He starts getting pissed because the move takes a little longer than others to deliver, and after about the third one, he started dropping f-bombs on me.

So after a couple more of those, I tell him that I'll stop being cheap and start doing faster moves so he can have a better chance to counter or get up. Not content with his being pissed, I start doing play-by-play and add "The People's" in front of every move that I do; i.e. "The People's Punch," "The People's Irish Whip," "The People's Snapmare," etc. So he throws his controller across the room, calls me a "b****" and goes outside.

Not really that funny in text, guess you had to be there. ;)
