If you're going to overpay why not overpay Dragic?

Well, maybe, maybe isn't the key word after all.

because dragic can get 18/8/1/5 steals/2.9 turnovers but he doesn't have LINSANITY!
Lex, people say he is cheap. Dude is not cheap. He likes attention, why else wear no socks with his shoes? Lex has always loved having stars and will do anything to get them.
It's unfortunate for him and for use that today's 'stars' are a bunch of vjs.

Linsanity= $$$$$ mad cash cow, yo.

Remember what CarlHerrera said though about these contracts, to the Rockets, the cap hit is "only" $7.5MM/year. The cash outlay for Les is more, but from Morey's perspective (talent vs. cap) this isn't that bad of a contract assuming Linsanity is more than just a passing craze. It's the NBA after all, players are gonna get paid.

Just need to find a good deal for Lowry, Martin, and Scola...

because Dragic doesnt have the built in fan base that Lin does... This isn't a move to win - its a move to sell merchandise....

Don't worry, he will be traded before he has the chance to finish his contract.

it's your dream. rox will be today's knicks. lin will get a back loaded offer sheet from some team. we will end up to pay him exactly same amount, 5, 5,2, 10, and 10.

You read my mind. I know Lin is good but he is overrated besides he is coming from an injury and you never know

    lin is cheaper than dragic.

according the report, lin's salary will be 7-8 mil average. well, dragic demands 10+. that could be a max 3 mil difference per year.

If this is a 3 year 30 million dollar contract for Lin vs paying Goran his 10 then I think we all know that Le$ doesn't care about building championship team.

Maybe the meeting with Dragic was all show and Lin has always been the top priority?

Yall only saw Lin play not even half a season. during that time he pretty much schooled the Mavericks and the Lakers, etc. and beat the Raptors at the end of the game. Now i know he has a lot of turnovers but Lin hasn't really played a real NBA game..give him time..turnovers can be fixed

Houston is a fair-weather city in terms of basketball. If we don't have anybody marketable, the average fan won't go. And since most fans are about average, morey's got to cater to them over the die-hard that know lin over dragic is a bad move in terms of skill level.
