I love the optimism, but I still wonder a few things like, "Who's going to be our leading scorer? And rebounder? And assist man? How about team captain?" Just curious about some of those things. It's possible that none of those guys are currently on the roster. Predictions seem...well, difficult at this point. I do like the prediction, though (even if I wish there were more to go on).

I gotta say Im loving all the action since the draft. Lot of movement. I hope it doesn't die down for a while.

I agree with not of what you said... Not all of it though.

The one thing I disagree with is Lowry and Martin being a cancer to the team... How?? Martin should be moved eventually, but his attitude has been nothing to complain about. All he ever did was say he doesn't like being called an asset. He'll be moved because he is a system scorer and can't play under McHales system. Not because of his attitude! As for Lowry, he and McHale talked and they say they can get along if Lowry stays. If Dragic is gone (about 98% chance he's gone) then Lowry should be our starter and we can bring Lin in as a backup.

I knew I spelled Lowry wrong it just seems like there should be an E in there. Anyway with Lowry if he has cleared the air with Mchale then I wouldn't be opposed to him staying but you can't call out and disrespect the coach the way he did no matter your feelings or thoughts. Do your job and let him do his. If there is a problem take it behind closed doors and settle it. As far as Martin I'm just tired of seeing him having a good time and laughing it up on the sidelines during losses. Now I'm not saying I want him suicidal over a loss I just want to see that it matters. I don't know maybe it just a case of a fan wanting it to matter as much to the players and it does to the fan.

As far as my playoff prediction I don't know why I believe it without knowing what the roster will look like but I will even go a step further Not only will we make the playoffs we wont be the 8th seed. At least the 7. I truly believe we will put together a competitive team this season. Not a championship team but a good team. Maybe its blind faith but It's in all honesty what I believe.

the reported offer is 3 years 23 mil (5mil, 5.2mil, 13mil) backloaded (like Asik) that we plan on giving Lin... Is that starter money?

Not sure Lowry as starter and Lin as backup works.

It depends on a couple of things.

Whether Lowry will feel threatened by having Lin on the team. I hear Lowry wants to be guaranteed the starting job. Who knows if Lin will wanna sign in Houston if he's not at least given a chance at being the starter.

Even if Lin agrees to come be the backup, the amount of salary he will be making may be too much for him to play just backup minutes. And what Lowry gonna say if Lin is given money more than he (Lowry) makes himself? Safe to say Lowry will probably be upset if his backup makes more than he does.

Nope, I think if you sign Lin he will be the starter and both Lowry and Dragic are goners...

D*ng Mr. Morey . . . how many accounts are you going to create on Clutchfans!!! j/k
We know it really is you Le$!

Seriously, I think I am becoming numb to it all

If we cannot trade for a superstar
we have to focus on developing one.
Time to ramp up the training staff, the medical staff and the scouting staff

I have my doubts about McHale's ability to teach on that level
    esp in the backcourt.

For the past 3 years I've thought the same: this is the year I will enjoy following the Rockets. But not anymore, I'm really skeptical about our future, I'm not that keen on bringing Asik for that amount of money (even if centers are the most expensive players, that doesn't mean you just have to hand over the money to an unproven player). Now Lee probably won't end up with us either, Lowry doesn't want to play for the Rox, Dragic too won't join the Rockets...

Bottom line, except the change sparked by drafting the 3 rookies, I really can't find anything that is or will be different from the past 3 years (if the Rockets' status remains the same).

I thought that when I 1st saw we were nearing with Lin, but I'm hoping you are wrong... Though I doubt it.

It is annoying to always be the bridesmaid and never the bride. I really want Goran back, and then for the team to go young, while the news has been fun, the results so far have been meh.
