I've sat around and watched the last week or so and saw so many people just flipping out going all suicidal over stupid things.

First I love the 3 draft picks and hope we keep them. I think all 3 can develop into solid players if not stars that can help this team grow into something special in the future.

Second Not all that upset of losing Dragic. Dot get me wrong I like him hes a good player I think he can be a capable starter in this league. But I dont like him at 10 million a year. 10 million a year for 35 games of work. Cant do it. It would be stupid to do that. 6-8 million a year I take that risk and jump on it. At 10 million your saying Dragic is a superstar he is not.

Offers to Lin(eventually) and Asik. I like the moves not in love with them but like them alot. Asik would instantly add much needed defensive help and you never know he is still young and can develop a better offensive game. He may not be the answer at the center position but does solve some problems. As for Lin he would add electricity and scoring to the PG position. Again may not be the future of the team but helps now. And again he is still young enough to develop a more all around game. Personally I look at Lin and Dragic as the same risk same reward but Lin is cheaper.

I will admit Losing Lee will suck if that happens and losing him for nothing sucks even worse. So yeah that bites a big one.

As for Lowery, Martin, and Scola. The only one of those 3 I would even consider bringing back is Scola because he loves it here and wants to be here. With Lowery and Martin there attitudes on and off the court are a cancer to the team and they need to be gone.

Anyway to sum everything up I'm intrigued by the way things are going so far but also I know its July 3 and season doesn't begin till October and I know things will change between now and then.

Also on a side note I believe we will make the playoffs this season. We will surprise alot of people including alot of non believers in our own fan base.

Great start for a first post. This board is going insane, seriously. Not in love with what's been going on, but I want to see how things actually play out.

I love it. Its been everything I hoped for. Well except for missing out on Gordon. If you expected Howard to stay, a big 3, Gasol to be everything you want? You were delusional to begin with.

I expected this. I want a few more things done with the veterans similar to Budinger and Dalembert to happen with Scola, Martin and or Lowry. Other than that?

Whats been forced on Morey is good for you as Rockets fans and him. If he can do what he is supposed to do as GM. Which is build the team from the ground up and no Yao or Tmac to hinder him. Thats if you really have faith in him. I really dont but if you do thats what he should be able to do now.

Considering we haven't made the playoffs the past 3 years you could've said it 3 years ago and again in 3 years and no one would bat an eye...

Love me some Lamb, Royce White, Jones, Asik, Parsons, Patterson, Morris. Notice I only mentioned the young guys. Who I want to play. D-Mo too.

good post , I would love to resign Goran though, I think he may not be 10 mil good, but he is athletic and young and showed promise, I would love to sign Lin as well, because I don't think Lin would demand to start. I would love love love to trade Lowry and Martin because you hit it on the head --their attitude was s*** . .I don't like that garbage. Wine way too much, stop pouting and collect your millions working one of the easiest jobs ever..

I like the moves so far, but would LOVE Josh Smith somehow thrown into this mix. I would replace trading Scola with Morris. I don't see Morris doing much for this team, especially with Patterson/ D Mo/ White and Jones

Considering I wasn't one of those who expected to get Dwight Howard, this has been one of the better off seasons we've had in a while.

I don't know what will happen with Dragic, but we have 4 intriguing prospects who will join us this season, barring trades.

So what if missed out on a center who has posted a lifetime best of 12 pts and 9 rebounds a game for max contract and a shooting guard who spend most of last season on the injured reserve for a max contract. Big deal.

I'm loving this offseason too. I started doubting Morey after last season, but so many people on this board kept attacking my posts. Now after another mediocre season, we have more people sharing my view point of view.

The first step in fixing the problem is identifying the problem, and I think we figured out what the problem is. (yes I know - but he works soooo hard).

    The off-season is not over.

Can you show a little prudence with your forecast?

This offseason for me will be a success if we can at least keep our young guys, rooks, and snatch Asik.

Alex Kennedy: With some of the big dominoes falling (Deron Williams, Eric Gordon), expect a lot of activity tomorrow. 2 minutes ago

Great first post, man. Glad to have another optimist around here. Everyone's gotta have immediate satisfaction these days and if they don't get it it's all "life sux boo hoo fire muray durp durp!"

Let's just relax and see how things pan out for craps sake.

Nothing like a roster full of unproven question marks to bring out the (delusional) optimism.

Good post. I agree with a lot of what you said.

    BTW, it's Lowry.

I am also excited about the youth direction we are apparently headed towards. I am all for looking for the best deals for the our remaining vets, but we have to have enough salary to reach the salary cap floor. I think Lowry has to be moved before the season, but Martin might be best to trade in season to a team who wants to get rid of bad contract and send a 1st round pick our way. We need to rent our cap space the next few years and collect as many picks as possible. Scola will stay on as a player coach until we can get something of value for him.
