No, we should roll with our rooks and any other young players we can acquire to develop. Develop Parsons, Lamb, White, Jones, Donuts, etc. Thats how you rebuild and win. The status quo will keep you at .500 or worse for a longer period.
What is going on with the Rockets?... First of all we have an inept GM who thinks he can compete with the big markets like LA, Boston, and NY. There is no attraction at all for big FA's to play in Houston Texas. Sure the cost of living is a great asset we can offer but when the limelight is not here we wont attract anyone. As far as going after Howard, I think it was a smoke screen the whole time so Morey could draft young talent to "rebuild" with. Howard never had any intentions on playing here so why would Morey adamantly try and trade for someone who would be a cancer? What needs to happen is go ahead and amnesty Kevin "sellout" Martin to get his no defense attitude off our roster. Then trade Luis Scola and Kyle Lowry to get cap space and draft picks to stack with for next year(not years down the road). Sign Lin to be our PG, start Lamb at SG, Parsons at SF, Montie at PF, and Asik at C. The perfect example of this would be to take the same approach the Thunder did. They took Durant to make their superstar and took the next few years to draft westbrook, Ibaka, and Harden. We will never attract the big name FA's even with the help of Hakeem, Clemens, or whomever the front office calls to make the pitch. Its a sad state that the rockets are in now, especially after watching the mediocre play the last few seasons for nothing. Every year Morey says, "were moving up in draft", "were getting a superstar"...it will never happen. If he doesnt bring in multiple top picks next year, he needs to be fired. Had to give my two cents of wrath on what I feel about the Rockets at this point in time. At least we have the TEXANS and DISASTROS to look forward to!! MAJOR SMH! #frustratedRocketfanInKDub!
