Offer Lin the same deal you gave Asik. No way the Knicks match. They already are going to lose Landry Fields to Toronto with that type of deal. The only way they keep Lin or Fields is if they deal Amare or Chandler.

So Morey thinks Lin and Dragic are equal caliber players?

Dragic might be just a bit better than Lin because Lin turns it over a lot but he also gets to the foul line much more and he bring the star status with him. I personally don't care who it is between them as long as one of them is the starting PG next season.

I knew trying to pry Lin away is on the rocket's agenda. He's clearly not better than Dragic, but he puts butts in seats. He and Parsons would be the face of the franchise.

technically no one.....reports say dragic was offered 8 mill and another report says rockets will offer what dragic turned down...no report actually put the two together with numbers..

The most amazing thing is how much Lin is still undervalued in the league. Most people still think he's just a fluke. Advanced stats shows he's an allstar in the making with excellant denfense. He should worth a contract much more than Dragic.

Of course not. Dragic is better. Lin is a cash cow.

If PHX or LAL offer Goran 8 mil I bet he takes it. He doesn't want to be in Houston because he'll just be treated like an asset and traded in a year or two anyways.

This is exactly the kind of move I hate when ball clubs make. Lin would appeal to the YOF market. So of course they try to sign him over Dragic even though he's a lesser player.

I guess I don't hate it from the basketball perspective, but I don't like it either. Super meh.

If the rockets really wanted to go all in and sign Lin they would fly Yao over here and convince him to sign.

    Wouldn't put it past Morey.

I would rather just have Lowry at less than $6M than Lin at $8M. Just force Lowry and McHale to work things out rather than spending more money on a lesser player.

nooo...gogi! The asian madness is gonna be off the charts once again....Y U NO LET LIN SHOOT 30 TIME, HE BEST IN ASSOCIATION!

In all honesty, it wouldn't hurt TOO BAD if we lost Dragic, but replaced him with Lin. I like Lin, but don't know if i prefer him over Lowry. I prefer Dragic over both.

Why don't we just keep Lowry if we're going to overpay Jeremy freakin' Lin? Have him and K-Mac sit down and have a heart to heart and stop acting so damn stubborn.

Will lose a little more faith in Morey if Lin is our starter next year and Lowry is gone. There is no reason to go spend money on a PG. Point guards do not win you titles, especially one's as inefficient as Lin.

He's only 23 and going left is something that can be easily worked on.

He was turnover prone because that's what D'Antoni's system required. Look at every other Knick PG before Lin and compared the turnover numbers. Once Woodson was made interim coach his turnovers went way down.

And as for bad defender that clearly shows you've barely seen Lin in action.

Again. It's not about who's better. It's about who can put more butts in seats. Lin definitely can do that.

I honestly can't say I know much about Lin's game beyond stats. I didn't see many of his games. I know he was extremely hyped because of his good month for the Knicks.

I will say this though. It was his first season. I wouldn't get too wrapped up in his turnover numbers as a rookie.

If he sat on our bench or was in D-League and never went NY...his new contract would be way cheaper now.
