Public poll, so you can see who voted for what. Will bump and rep anyone who guesses correctly.

Mavs because I'd hate that even more than Howard going to the Lakers. And we Rocket fans haven't been lucky of late. I hope he remains in the East.

Everyone's saying the Nets, so I have to rule that out. I doubt Orlando trades him to their own division.

There's no option for Olympiakos, so I'll go with the Lakers. They swoop in with a Bynum and 4 future first round picks after trading Gasol for Pachula and Josh Smith. Howard originally is mad, but begins to like it after hanging out with Josh Smith, getting a show on the disney channel, and taping Kobe's mouth.

If I was the owner of the Magic I'd try to trade him somewhere terrible like Charlotte to show him what for. =)

...is the question where will he be traded to or what team he will ultimately sign with for the long term?

Howard could end up anywhere there is no telling at this point. Hell, for all we know San Antonio could jump in at the last minute and offer up Jackson's 10 mil expiring with Splitter and let say Leornard and a future No. 1.

It is still too early to predict. We should have a pretty good idea in about 4 days or so.

Or Orlando may even hold out until the trade deadline foolishly thinking the offers will get better.

But... If you are putting a gun to my head I would have to say the Nets at this early stage.

If I were Orlando though there would be no way I would deal him to the Nets. Why give him what he wants and why keep him in the east, I would ship him to the west.

...I think if Ferry is willing to offer Teague & Horford + picks for Howard that's a decent haul for Orlando and probably a better deal on talent than anything Houston could offer and certainly anything better than NJ or Dallas. Bynum would be interesting but I don't think anyone sees him as a #1 and Orlando probably would want LA to take on a large contract which they don't want to do.

...really the Atlanta deal is the best for Orlando. Gives them two good young players and probably makes them a lotto team next year. Only real sticking point is if Hennigan has to clear a large contract as part of the trade. In that case Atlanta wouldn't do the trade because they can sign Howard & CP3 in the summer of 2013. My bet is on Atlanta going to war with Howard & Smith this year and chasing Paul next year. I actually think that is one team that could kill the Heat.
