This is from NBA.com. The chart is pretty amazing when its broken down like this; almost as if it were an inverted standings chart with a couple exceptions...

    NBA________YEARS_10+_R
    Denver______2.40__ 0__ 5
    Houston____2.80__1__5
    Memphis_____2.80__1___5
    L.A. Clippers__3.20__1___3
    Chicago______3.33__0___3
    Golden State__3.33__0___2
    Cleveland____3.77___2__3
    Miami________3.80__2___4
    Indiana______4.00__1___1
    Seattle_______4.00__2___1
    Boston_______4.42__0___1
    Atlanta_______4.64__0___1
    Milwaukee____4.71__1___4
    Phoenix______4.86__3___2
    Philadelphia___4.87__2___3
    Washington___5.00__3___2
    New Jersey____5.07__1___1
    Orlando______5.07___2___2
    Detroit_______5.36___3___2
    Toronto_______5.53__1___2
    Sacramento____5.57__3___0
    L.A. Lakers_____5.71__5___2
    Dallas________5.80___2___1
    Portland______5.93___3___1
    Utah_________5.93___3___2
    New York______6.00___2__1
    Minnesota_____6.20___4__1
    New Orleans___6.29___3__0
    San Antonio____6.92___5__1

Amazingly, the bottom 21 teams all could be called legitimate threats for the postseason, with one exception in New York's case. The same could be said about the top 8 teams...not a one of them could be considered playoff contenders outside of Houston (and no, LAC aren't gonna make it; we all know). That'll just make it all the more sweet if the NBA's 2nd most inexperienced team is able to reach the playoffs against all these fogies.

This is why I dont agree with folks who say this is a crucial year for the Rockets. This is truly an up and coming team. Teams preparing for the playoffs go after vet back=ups to solidify their teams.
Props to RudyT for sticking with these young guys with a future. This team needs no trades or future draft picks..just time to get better.........

In 3 or 4 years we will have a use for draft picks. Those picks will become the backups.

Anyways just ask the wolves. If they would have kept their picks they would have been able to replace some of the players they have lost.

Wow. I new that we were a young team, but not that young. We will make the playoffs this year, and have an awesome future. :)

Resurrection for the purpose of letting it be known that the team who beat the Rockets last night had more experience than us.

This is not a very good argument imo. Who cares if players like Hawkins, Boki, Maddox, T-Mo etc dont have much NBA experience. The players that should be the ones considered are the ones that actually get the minutes in the games. The 9 players that are getting the bulk of the PT at this stage are Ming, Cato, Griffin, Taylor, Rice, Posey, Francis, Mobley, Moochie. The average age of these 9 players is 26.44, and their NBA experience is a lot more than 2.8 yrs. This team is not losing b/c of inexperience, it is losing b/c of stupidity.

Agreed MM. The players that actually get time on the court and old enough and have been in the league for more than 1 or 2 years. Except EG and Yao. Cat and Steve should no longer be making rookie mistakes, but they still do.
