If Fegan says it is, then it obviously is.

Looks like ATL might be the biggest contender in the Dwight sweepstakes.

What can they offer? Hordford and what?

What could Dallas give up for him? Dirk Nowizki. That seems like what it would take that the Mavericks have of worth. Unless someone can enlighten me how Dallas has anything of worth to off the Magic besides Dirk himself.

Chris Paul will be a free agent next year, along with Howard.

Well? How exactly does Dallas get him short of trading Dirk himself? I am still mistified if nothing we have is good enough. Nothing around Dirk screams or the draft picks screams good besides Dirk himself. So how does Dallas get him? Thats a pipe dream unless some sweet deal is coming down the pipes for Dallas.

looks like Atlanta cleared out a whole lot of cap space by moving JJ to Brooklyn.

Dallas isn't getting Dwight this season but next when he doesn't sign with whoever gets him as a rental.. Funny how Yao is off the books yet we have doo doo for cap space and Dallas has tons of cap room next year.. Morey is awesomeeeeeeee

The Hawks seem like they are in the drivers seat to me. They could conceivably team up Howard and Chris Paul next year. They have young, all-star talent to offer the Magic and Atlanta is Howard's home town.

Pretty inconceivable 24 hours ago, huh? That'd be a helluva team...

Horford is a terrible idea as the centerpiece of a Dwight trade. He's basically a younger version of Luis Scola. Nice, solid player, but nowhere near a foundation piece for a rebuilding team that needs one. Big contract, too.

The Hawks make sense for Dwight, because they have his best friend and he has the leverage of saying he could sign there next summer. I don't see that they make sense for Orlando. The package from Houston is far superior to Al Horford and Jeff Teague.

That's why they are desperately trying to clear cap space right now. I think they think their only realistic chance is to make a run at him and someone like Paul in free agency next year. That is why if we are ever going to have a chance we have to go after Dwight now and at least we have some leverage in being able to offer him the most money next year. Also, we would have 1 year to try to change his mind about Houston. Unfortunately, we just can't attract superstar free agents without us already having one. If this goes to free agency we lose for sure.

Thats pretty good. People forget how overvalued decent centers are. Then they replace Howard with him too.

Nets Out , nothing to trade and no cap room.

Dont see how Dallas can be a player in a trade as they have next to nothing to offer that would interest Orlando - No draft pick as they owe it to the Rockets thru LA tho protected. I seriously doubt Orlando would be interested in Brendan Haywood , Shawn Marion or Vince Carter.

Lakers could offer Bynum , I'd probably call them the front runner should they be willing to give him up.

Houston ? Im not sure what Orlando would be interested in , cant send their own pick but could offer up the Dallas protected pick.
Why would they want Martin or Scola on a rebuilding team? May take Lowry. Would definately want to move Turkoglu's contract in the process .... would they be interested in the draftee's ??

    Houston - Howard , Turkoglu
Orlando - Dallas pick , first rounder from team 3 , Lowry , Martin , and one or both of Jones , Patterson ?
    Third team - Scola

Is it time to go after Monte Ellis? We could trade Martin and Jones for him.

He is a better version of Luis Scola, too.

Golden State could offer a better package than us if they are still willing to roll the dice.
