ROCKETS SHOULD HAVE WON IN THE 1ST ROUND IN '98!!! Malone took out Barkley intentionally!!! ... or was it Ostertag...? Dunno, but they had a play written for it cuz they knew they were about to get embarassed if they didn't do something low and dirty!!! They've admitted to trying to injure players before, and that's what they did there!!!

    DEATH TO JAZZ!!!
    DEATH TO JAZZ!!!
    DEATH TO JAZZ!!!

    jamalccc,

Don't listen to the others: you can be whatever kind of fan you want. This is America.

Btw, I have a lot of respect for Stockton and Malone but am not a Jazz fan. You have to respect anyone who can still play the game at 40 years old at a competitive level with the best.

What the jazz (there not important enough to capitalize) do is instead of tring to figure a way to score on the other team or stop the other team, they try to find a way to hide them self from view of the refs and fall down and get calls. there not tring to score, there tring to get the ref to blow the wistle. Thats not basketball and I dont see how you can be a fan of basketball and the jazz much less the Rockets and the jazz.

This might be America, but if you want to belong to Rocket Nation you must swear eternal hatred for anything that has anything to do with the damn Jazz.

My 6000th post and all I want to say is:

    DIE JAZZ DIE!!!!!!!!!!!

Can you be a Jazz and Rockets fan at the same time? There is an inherent condtradiction in that which is against the fundamental laws governing the cosmos. Should one somehow (against all good judgement and taste) become a true fan of both the Rockets and the Jazz, I believe that the universe would immediately be destroyed in a cataclysm the like of which has not been seen since the Big Bang.

That is akin to asking "Can I dedicate my life to Hinduism and still make my living killing cows in a slaughterhouse?" or "Can I be a thieving, conniving Enron executive and still get into heaven?" or "Can I be a fan of the Lakers and Kings at the same time?"

There are some things human beings were never meant to do, and that is one of them.

You living in Utah, I'm sure you wonder why we hate the Jazz so much and it's probably hard for you to objectively see John Stckton and Karl Malone for who they are; biggest cheaters and dirtiest players ever. That's not just us Rockets fan talking. ESPN had a poll last year and these two guys topped the list convincingly with 60% of the votes. Jerry Sloan was the dirtiest coach. Now, you can't say we are jealous because the Lord knows they haven't won anything despite their dispicable behaviors. There's a difference between playing hard and playing dirty. Stockton sets illegal moving picks and risks injuries to other player's lower extremeties. Karl Malone would probably flop if my 18 month old nephew so much as breathed on him. And they both equally use their elbows freely to have their way. And do they b**** when they get called for a foul, which does not happen anywhere near it should. And you throw in pieces of crap like Ostertag, and Hornacek, there you go. I repected Shandon Anderson, Russell, and some of the old players I can't remember. Wasn't there a tall white guy named Chambers? Yeah, Tom Chambers. And I certainly wouldn't want their plane to crash as someone wrote, but seriously, you gotta choose. Yankees or the Sox, Coke or Pepsi, Elvis or the Beatles, and Rockets or the Utah Spazz!!!

I wanted to throw up just knowing i was 100 yrds of where malone and flopton play...i hate the jazz...so must every rocks fan..they blow

Got burried by your replies. Can't breathe, suffocating, dying. Damn, you guys are haters! I am writing my will because as many predicted, I will die by being both a Rockets fan and a Jazz fan at the same time. In my PE class for the new semester in BYU, I found a guy from Houston, and he loves the Rockets. We became friends instantly by talking about Yao Ming, and he doesn't hate the Jazz that much as you guys.

After seeing your replies, I took the advice and tried to be objective when I watched the Jazz/Bulls game. I didn't see any flopping. Seriously, NONE. I think as they grow older, or more ancient to be precise, Stockton/Malone have lessened their efforts to play cheap. Hey, doesn't the fact that they are both 40, and still compete like hell deserve some admiration from the league? I don't know about Malone(I actually don't like him), but Stockton is THE MAN. He's white, 180lbs and 6'00'', but rediculously smart, incredibly unselfish and insanely loyal. He's a lock in the HALL OF FAME!!! Pound for pound, I'd call him the greatest player ever played the game of basketball, and the best pure point guard (by saying that I mean someone who is under 6'4'', and thus exclude Magic) ever.

Before I get lynched one more time, I want to say that I am a Rockets fan and a Jazz fan from top to bottom, and I am trying to live with both identities. I'll try not to die too soon (I'll make it through one more week).

He was lying about being a Rocket fan. Rocket fans aren't uncool enough to go to BYU. We go to places like UH! HBU! Prarieview! Hell, HCC! Anywhere we can still watch the Rockets. I planned my college career geographically because of the Rockets.

It won't kill you, but it will cause brain damage. And it does disqualify you from membership in the 'I Hate the Utah Jazz' Un-Fan Club.

Why would they flop against the Bulls? Watch when they're playing a good team, especially with the playoffs on the line.

What, are you high? Maybe I'm a little late to the dance in replying to this, but HOLY GOD--how can you even ask such a question?!?!?!?!?

Comparing the Rox and Jazz is like comparing prime rib and lunch meat. On one hand, you have Stevie Franchise--one of the most explosive and talented players in the league--and Yao Ming. 'Nuff said there. With Mobley and the other complimentary players on the team--plus the fact that Houston is a REAL city--and how is there even a contest? There's a reason we're called "Clutch City." 2 NBA titles and not playing dirty are just a couple of reasons...

On the other hand, you have an aging, human wrecking machine in Karla Malone, who wouldn't even be CLOSE to breaking Kareem Abdul-Jabar's scoring record without throwing elbows to get open looks, and flopping to go to the line about 50 times per game. Add to that brilliant recipe the Pasty Gangsta (Flopton), and you have quite possibly the most hideous squad to ever don NBA shorts (or cut-offs, in Stockton's case). Not to mention they live in one of the most godforsaken places on the planet, Salt Lick City. Doubt you'll ever hear the word "clutch" attached to ANYTHING in that town.

So, to answer your question: NO, NO, and NO. What's the matter with you, anyways??? Go seek some help and then come correct the next time you post in the BBS. Otherwise, stop wasting mine and everyone else's time.

    Stupid Jazz-hole fans, I swear.......

    "Houston is a REAL city."

Houston is a real ugly city. Why don't y'all just drop bombs on downtown since there are no zoning laws, and you've basically given up on it and built another business center on the edge of town. The traffic, the crime, the godawful humidity … those are all REAL. Before the Geto Boys came around, H-Town was no town. Minute Maid Park, that's a good one. What's the Rocks new arena to be called -- Can't Pass the Rock Coliseum, Rudy Can't Coach Centre, Antagonize Akeem Arena? Y'all are pathetic.
