Why does this still haunt me?

    Explain this, because I can't.

    Over the years I have watched a lot of shows like Unsolved Mysteries but this case still haunts me.

    Of all the one's I've seen, I can't seem to shake the case of Jodi Huisentruit.

    From time to time I think about the case, and the other night I woke up with a vision of her picture in my head. I saw this story for the first time years ago and hundreds just like it since then, but why does this one stay so vivid in my mind?

    Another Brother, perhaps when you saw the show about her case there was a great deal of video of her. She was a TV newsperson, after all. Maybe you connected with her TV persona on some level, or you may have known someone who looked like her and she is a reminder. Cases like this are maddening. Why was she running late? Did she disappear on purpose... flipped out and changed her identity? The most obvious thing is an abduction with a bad ending.

    I don't watch this type of show. Just watching the news is depressing enough.

    And that wasn't funny, t4651965. I assume Another Brother wasn't trying to be.

    Damn...she's still missing?

    Maybe it's because missing people cases are usually the worst thing that could happen to the surviving family because they have no resolution.

    Add that to the fact that she was a TV personality, and you have something that becomes closer to life. You might realize just then that it could happen to you or some one close to your life.

    ...That sounds spooky because it is, but it's something people deal with on some level or another.

    What's more spooky is Freudian slips...

    Because of my occupation I understand that it is difficult take me serious sometimes, but there are some things that I would think pretty obvious.

    Maybe that is more a fault of mine than t465, therefore maybe he/she shouldn't be criticized so harshly.
