I hope everyone realizes that there will be more than one move made this offseason.

90% of the teams havent done anything yet.

Please realize Asik is a game changer. Sure, Asik may not be the big splashy name everyone wants, but he is a game changer because with his presence in the middle, it makes our whole defense better. It's obvious that we want players that are defensive oriented now. It's a welcomed change as far as I'm concerned. Sure, it's fun scoring 105 points in a game, but when you give up 110 in a game then all that offense isn't doing us any good. Going towards a defensive mindset is a step in the right direction as far as I am concerned.

I watched Dallas win the championship last year with and defensive center without an offensive game.

This is kind of like the Brad Miller signing.

    ummm, no

Miller had a good jumpshot at one point, has never been known as a defensive presence and was barely able to move when we got him.

Asik is young, by all accounts is all hustle, can protect the rim and has no noticable jumpshot.

Yeah Brad Miller was signed because Rick Adelman was still here and his offense needed a good passing big man, plus he was a year removed from wanting to retire. I met the guy, he's pretty quiet and polite. But as a player he wasn't what the Rockets needed and Asik is still young and plays defense. Something the Rockets need. Plus whats the point of all this speculation, he hasn't signed with the Rockets yet anyways..

Eric Gordon is the game changer you covet, he is a prolific scorer. But Asik is also a game changer on defense, rim protector and outstanding pick and roll defender.

That said, this is not the last of FA moves. This roster might be completely different from last year's when it is all said and done.
