Well, they were planning on keeping Sam Dalembert, too, and we see how that worked out.

So i'm guessing we're keeping him in case Lee doesn't sign with us?

I just do not see Kevin Martin playing a single game for the Rockets next year. Morey will eventually get a deal that is acceptable to him and K-mart will be gone.

Martin is a good fit with Dragic, Terrence Jones, Royce White, and Marcus Camby I think.

The Rockets also claimed that they were going to bring back Bear and C Bud. What happened? Traded.

Every team knows the Rockets situation, feuding with coach/front office, and pressure to get a star. Especially with the All Star game being Houston this upcoming season.

    Nothing but lowball offers.

I wouldn't blame the Rockets if they actually do keep him throughout the year. It was just 2 seasons when he had arguably his best season as a pro. He's a talented scorer without a doubt, and if anything, he can show Lamb the ropes. People talk negatively about his negligence on the defensive end, but there is a reason why he isn't earning the max (not saying his contract he has at this point looks any good.)

Whatever we decide to do with Martin will probably be for the best in terms of re-signing Lee and grooming Lamb. There's just absolutely no way to believe what any "source" says about keeping players because this is a business with unexpected changes happening constantly.

    Otherwise

"Hey other teams...we plan on keeping Martin so if you want him you're going to have to give us something reasonable."
