We must wait this out. Maybe the Asik deal if cheap enough but with Joe Johnson maybe headed to the Nets, Dwight Howard is running out of options. With New Jersey no longer in the hunt maybe he thinks twice about us. I think a lot of teams will be in panic mode like the Nets to get better (looking at you Lakers), and we shouldn't follow suit. Maybe we don't have to give up our best pieces and have more leverage with the teams trying to fleece us just because of our superstar hunt.

This could have been posted anywhere from 5 to 10 different threads. No need for a new one.

Yes. Except at this point we have no insight about what their plans are after tonight. We are all holding our horses, and I'm sure they're weighing all of their options as well, and not just tunnelvisioning on Asik.

    or maybe not:
    Chris Broussard ‏@Chris_Broussard
Dwight Howard met with new Magic GM Rob Hennigan Friday in LA. Howard told Hennigan he wants to be traded to Brooklyn Nets, sources say.

He's been saying that for a while now. Doesn't mean Brooklyn has anything to offer that would beat what another team (be it the Lakers, the Rockets or another "rental" team) has to offer.

That said, I don't think we should hold our horses. If you got'em, smoke'm.

He'd been saying that to Otis Smith - this marks new territory I believe. But yea, to the other poster, it is Broussard ... I'd probably take Wojnarowski with a bit more credence too.

ok am i the only one that's sick and tire of Dwight telling anyone that will listen that he wants to go to "is Brooklyn in the house"? Personally I don't care about him that much anymore. I realize he has talent, but if he truly wants to go to Brooklyn how much does he care about a RING? it appears to me he wants to be loved by the world, but he's not about winning. How could he be if Brooklyn is his first choice? Let him go make raps with JZ and movies and all that because he will NEVER get a ring with his mindset and way of thinking. I don't care for Lebron, but at least he wanted to move himself in to a position to win the championship. Can anyone tell me what in the hell DWights planning on winning in Brooklyn? Besides indorcements?

Sorry forgot i had registered many years back. Been mostly lurking.

What's the rush? Why move our most valuable assets for another injured shooting guard?

Also, it doesn't matter if Howard wants to go to the nets. There's no way he could outright sign with them with their current contracts plus Johnson 18 million, DWill lets say 15 million.
