Thank you steddinotayto - saves me the trouble. nineteen always looks for ways to bash Rudy, he is a bigtime Rudy hater. Let's not forget the character of Pippen when he got into trouble with the law here. One of the things I love about the Rockets is that they have steered away from the punks of the NBA. Pippen is a good fit with the Jailblazers.
In a recent interview after a Blazers/Bulls game, he has said that only thing he regrets in his playing career was signing with Houston. Personaly, I think he just did it for the money, not playing with this one, or that one. He just played 10 years in Chicago, underpaid for less than $20M over that period. Houston was only team with serious cap space, the Bulls come up with a sign-and-trade to reward him with additional $10M and he was gone. I've heard about that incident with Barkley back than, but I haven't this one with Clyde on the same topic. So it's Clyde and Pippen vs. Barkley, or 7 championships vs. 0. Houston and Rockets fans are just pissed off, because they only got Cato in return for him, when they should have gotten more.
T, I'm not a Rudy Hater. Just a Truth Teller! Confusing them is silly. Hate takes up space and time. I don't have either. Sorry that you can't paint me with that brush. I may be a bit more privy to the situation than you are. I've tried to bring a different side to perceived events. Saw SP before he hit the L. Saw MJ jump on SP to make him better. Saw SP shut down Magic as the Bulls swept the Lakers in LA. Saw SP excited to be here in the H, but disappointed with Rudy. Funny how Rudy said he would change things the next year. He should have adjusted while SP was there. It was like tranferring to Community College from Harvard.
a coach adjusting to a player that just came in? isn't it the other way around? look, i have been critical of rudy and his decisions at time but stating that pippen had the right to blame rudy and the whole entire franchise for him losing the ball in the playoffs that costs us the WHOLE playoff is pretty ridiculous. you don't come in your first year waltzing around complaing, whining and moaning just b/c you're the highest paid player on the team. and this only happened after ONE year. so who's the one that couldn't handle the pressure? rudy or pippen?
I don't think that's much worse than having a huge smile on your face after you've just been eliminated from the playoffs.
Sted, I think that SP was disallusioned from jump street. He saw the players here but, didn't know the coach. A good manager delegates and puts the workers in the best position to succeed. Same thing with coaching. SP was the highest paid and still wanted to win. Imagine that. He saw that Rudy wasn't a X and O coach. Bottom line. Take a look at Sunday's Chronicle. Good articles on SP. Averaging 21/5/5 in Blazers last two games. He wants to play two more years for the minimum. Wants one more ring and to play for a good coach, Lakers? Sadly, he didn't mention the Rox or Rudy.
There is a difference between "fact" and "opinion". You would do well to educate yourself on that difference, nineteen.
Thank you. I'm learning new words everyday. Haven't made it to the f's or o's yet. But I'm going to keep working hard!
