Lee is a baller. You need a smart two way gaurd like
him to be a good team. Pay him he's better than all
    those scrubs he listed

Rockets haven't offered him the MLE. Still need some vets. Can always trade him later rather than lose him for nothing.

4 years and 25 mill is 6.25 a year, i'm hoping that is a lock for our limit. I mean did you see the examples? JJ? Ariza? (afflallo is ok but is definitely no bargain) these players are bad contracts, ariza just got traded because of his contract twice. Its just a huge commitment for someone your not sure can come in next year and play like he did on his good days last year EVERY game.

Lee has basically peaked. No sweat off my back if we let him walk.

Shouldn't pay him anything. He's got no role on a lottery team.

I love the Lamb pick, he's a year and 20 lbs. away from playing time in the NBA.

I have the feeling we won't get a good offer for Martin until the trade deadline.

So give him $1 more than his best offer.

I'm with this. I'd rather the rookie mistakes and a cheaper alternative than Lee/Martin.

Bye c.lee. You aare the easiest replaceable asset on this team.

Over mle and you are overpaid.

Lee is solid, still pretty young. I'm all for rebuilding. But let's resign Lee, but let him be 6th man. Lee guarding Lamb everyday in practice will make him significantly better.

NBA is full of SGs with reasonable contract. I hope we don't play money game with his agent. Lee is a solid player, an average SG in the league, and should take average salary for SG.

Find a young rim-protecting 5 with some upside on both sides of the ball. The Courtney Lee's of the world will find their way to your door. Anything other than focusing on a Top 10 C is an exercise in futility.

So defense does not play into your equation?

Lamb is NBA ready on the defensive side of the ball. Longer, quicker and more instinctive than Lee. Needs to work on strength though.

Nope. We want Dragic to be our starting PG. Lee will be at best a backup (behind martin and Lamb, or behind Lamb and Martin, or behind Lamb should Martin get traded). He's not quite good enough offensively or defensively to start.

Sure, he is a great guy... but if the Rockets are ever going to break out of the "just good enough to miss the playoff" cycle they need to start making the tough but smart decisions.

Problem could be some team with cap sapce that fails at getting their target and ends overpaying a Courtney Lee. For this reason his agent will try to wait until late summer to accept an offer. The question is if Houston can wait that much time...

Houston can wait for Lee. Martin is still under contract, and Lamb can easily play backup minutes. My guess is Lee won't be resigned until we know what we're doing with Martin.

The same cannot be said for Dragic. Lowry is a prime trading piece, and we have no legit 3rd option at PG. Gotta lock Dragic down quick.

thats a foregone conclusion, Lee will be the starter, at least until Lamb develops and take over, 6-7 mil is about right
