come on, carl. i don't know if they're tanking or not. but you and i both know that one way organizations find a way to lose is by shipping out seasoned veterans and letting young guys play. the losing is actually a byproduct of the whole process and it feeds higher draft picks...while not an absolute, this is true typically in every pro sport in america.

if that's what they're doing, great. i'm fine with that. i just feel like we wasted an entire season where we could have had our oars in the water rowing that direction already...and it would have shortened the process.

If you read that nonsense in French it sounds so much more romantic.

The man is delusional. Where is the "reality" in his comments? The team's main problem is on full display in these comments. It is truly sad.

decent draft----if we are going to play the young guys and trade the vets

go for a top draft pick next yr

who are the top 5 guys for the 2013 draft?

we still need the luck factor

one of the news guys needs to blow up so we actually have the type of asset that. Can bring a star or top three pick. Nobody we have now can do that

We'll know very soon if they're tanking or not.

If they re-sign Camby and spend money on a guy like Asik, they're not tanking. And if they bring in any vets in trades for Scola or Lowry, they're not tanking.

Agree with these comments. Once the full effect of the new cap comes in it will set us up to get that big star we need just because of our cap flexibilty.

    I will keep it short.

Les is an idiot and Morey is his tool.

This is not tanking, it's REBUILDING. Not the same thing at all. (I may make this my new signature)

LOL, how did that work out for them? Wait...what?

I wouldn't mind seeing them run out the young guys this year and see where they end up...probably a top 10 pick. Then make your move next year. There could be a nice pool of centers coming out

What I worry is they made some cost saving moves by trading CBud and Dally -trading them before they are due more $$$$, and then drafting a bunch of guys they want to send to the RGVipers, and go to war with the same crappy roster pretty much intact.

This is not rebuilding, this is FRUSTRATING. There is not any young player the current team could build around to develop. The current team is not a team ready to win a playoff spot, either, similar situation to the last 2 years.

Aside from the bolded part, what's wrong with that? Having rookies compete for position instead of just giving them the position? I don't get why you would rather have less flexibility.

Because rookies that are not playing on an NBA level are not getting better, and are devaluing as assets.

If the Rockets drafted all these guys (and I like all 3) and then don't have time to play them - then what was the point?

You have to develop your talent - not just stash it in the Valley - guys that are playing on an NBA level and putting up numbers are a lot more tradeable than guys putting up numbers in the D-league which is actually not all that great of a league to begin with.

I don't understand the obssesion some have with wanting to tank. What did it get Charlotte? They did not get the grand prize at the end (Davis). How about Washington with John Wall? They still suck with him.

It's a dangerous game wanting to tank. Some teams have been in tank mode for years and can't seem to get out of it like Charlotte, Washington, Sacramento, and for a long long time the Clippers.

I believe we are close. One player can turn this franchise around, if it is through trade or free agency. You don't want to start all over again because instead of needing that one player will instead turn in to needing a whole team.

Teams that are similar to us or ahead of us in terms of talent are following the same path such as Indiana, Memphis, or Denver. I'd rather be like Memphis then Charlotte
