Also the guy is in the Team USA program? If so that is huge. That goes a long way training with the best current players and err...building relationships with those players as we have seen.
Jeremy Lamb looks like Tracy McGrady a little to me. I feel like he can become all-star player. He has a good potential. He has athletic body and he can play a lot of different styles. He can shoot anywhere and he is going to make opponents exhausted to defend him because he never stop running, no doubt. Great pick and I am happy Rockets took him. Really humble and class guy.
Doesn't seem bright but looks like he has some nice bball talent. So liking this pick. I can't help but wonder if this was the player we were targeting at 12 such that we traded 14+Bear.
The end of that interview is so awkward. On his twitter, his about says "I once had an awkward moment, cuz I wanted to"
Yeah, I think it was. The Suns were reportedly really high on Lamb so we probably jumped them to steal him away from them. The Chronicle says the Rockets had Lamb rated fifth overall on their draft board -- which they pretty much say every year, but still I'm really excited about this kid.
I'm really liking the Jeremy Lamb pick. He's a versatile scorer, which could easily replace Kevin Martin. If we keep Lamb, I think he can contribute to the team sooner rather than later.
Also reminded me of Tmac, but whoever pointed out he isn't the same type of playmaker is dead on. He gets buckets, but won't necessarily create for his teammates with the type of vision tmac showed when he had capable teammates. Lamb will help his teammates by becoming a disruptive force on D and learning how to pass out of the help defense that he will face at the NBA level once he beats the initial defender. Love the athleticism he brings, but I think the biggest knock on him is how often he settles for the pullup. He's got a sweet stroke but to be an elite scorer you've gotta fill it up AND get to the line. We'll see how he develops, but I really think he can turn into a Tmac-esque versatile scorer from the perimeter, something we have really needed and a great piece to fit next to Dragic going forward.

This kid will be the steal fo the draft. Like a 6'5 TMAC( without the playmaking)
Okay T-Mac was one of the best athletes of this generation. Lamb is a solid athlete but he doesn't even come close to that level. I see his best case outcome as more of a Ray Allen type. Solid athlete with a versatile offensive game and a great jumper.
Lamb is not a bad athlete, plus they both have long arms. But i agree maybe a Ray Allen/ Reggie Miller type. But he def has a higher ceiling than Nick Young or Kevin Martin, and to me is already a better prospect than Marshon Brooks. Cant wait to see Lamb, and Royce White at the Rookie/Sophomore game in Houston this year. Plus with 2k13( im gonna destroy cats with these guys)
This guy is lethal I was literally praying before the draft that he would drop to us. This guy could be our franchise player seriously.
I didn't say Lamb was a bad athlete did I? I said he's solid, he's just nowhere near T-Mac's level, which is no slight... few players are. But yeah, Ray Allen / Reggie Miller sounds about right for ceiling.
I won't be surprised to see Houston trade 2 of these guys... ... but which 2 of them remains a question...
