Take a look at the Knicks.

They threw everything they had to get Melo and Amare.

And where are they now? They OVER PAID. So, they have a couple of stars and they STILL have a sucky team, and not really any particular hope to get any better in the future, and now they are stuck in salary-cap hell.

Some you may be mad after the 5th pick if its not ours, but you have to understand Morey will not overpay for the pick and handicap us down the line. So if Sacto is trying to get back at us for the Landry/KMart steal Morey wont give in. Let Sacto hang themselves with that pick. The player they want will be off the board at 5.

I think ORL is asking way too much for Dwight "yawning" at our offer. I dont think any team can get close to what we are offering and I personally think we should trade 12, 16, 18 for him. If not, let them lose him w/o any compensation. We need to trade for him FIRST, and then flip Lowry and Martin for picks to fill out our roster. At the end of the day, its a one year rental. I understand we are going to try to sign him to a longer contract...blah blah blah, but three first rounders is better than Lopez. Why are we selling the barn for a rental? If they don't bite, screw them and lets start really building a team w/ ppl that WANT to be here....

 

That's good news at least since Houston is talking to both. I'm wondering why they aren't talking to Toronto anymore.

 

My guess would be because Toronto is only interested in Lowry, and Morey seems intent on trading Lowry to Sactown at 5.

 

I completely disagree with this. Morey will definitely overpay. The gambit is to get DH. Everything changes if this happens and it's really the only thing that matters. Get DH and you can sign Deron Williams or Josh Smith. You no longer need Lowry or Dragic if you get Williams. You dont need Parsons if you get Smith.

Morey has repeatedly shown he can get good role players to fill out a roster in the 2nd round or late 1st. He'd trade THE ENTIRE ROSTER if it landed just Dwight Howard.

Yes you are trying to be. Thats what people say when they have nothing else to fall back on. Its always said on clutchfans to divert attention away from the subject.

Which is why its time for me to turn my sights to the excitement of watching and waiting now. I think peoples expectations are in line with the last few years now. That way nobody is let down if nothing happens again. So lets enjoy the draft together now. I realize what Morey is and what he is not now. Maybe he can get lucky where he is drafting at with so many draft picks in hand.

 

Cause Toronto wants to unload Calderon and they also to make a run at Nash.
