Ok granted. This guy has me interested he might be something pretty good. I cant lie I am more excited about him than half this draft. He has something there in his skills. Its pretty good amount. I wont lose sleep to keep him. I just want him over here and to be used and not stashed in Europe if we are gonna keep him.

you know what I see? unproven.

He's playing in the bush leagues and beating up on guys who don't know a dream shake from an aussie shake (trust me, there is a difference)

I also see speed and a cocky nature, meaning he doesn't show a student's attitude. I think he's the next david andersen.

Doesn't DMo have a post game? If so, he won't be the next Dirk...

The first part in becoming a NBA superstar is thinking you are just better than everyone else.

That's why I never get why people are mad at Morris for wanting to play....opposed to just being so happy he's in the NBA like Thabeet.

My question is how do y'all know that Motiejunas won't be a star? Some people aren't even giving him a chance and they want him traded. Anthony Davis is not even a guaranteed star. I remember many mock drafts having him being a top 5 pick that year. My point is that there is no guarantees. The guy has the talent, and I hope we keep him to see what he can do.

People probably just believe nbadraft.net, He is compared to Andris Bargiani and Dirk. Also on drsft express the best case scenario is Pau Gasol

I assume no one is stupid enough to actually compare a guy to future NBA HOFers when he can't even crack his country's top 8? He is considering playing in the summer league this summer cuz he's not sure if he's going to play valuable minutes in the Olympics.

I do love clutchfans for it's level of comedy.

    Because most players aren't stars.

Motiejunas does look impressive on the offensive end, both inside and outside. He's only 21 years old and is still developing, so I can see why people are excited. I'll be disappointed if we trade him.

haha...but they could be if they all reach their potential.

think about it...if everyone reaches their fan potential then we hit a ceiling of past potential (in terms of this thread,,,,dirk, pippen, russell)...then players are all the same if players keep hitting that barrier...they forever become the next Dirk? no barrier penetration.

    It's like Brazil.

I think this has the makings of a sci-fi movie about cultural advancement in belier that since everyone's full potential is the rafters, then we lower the rafters...

    ...then what?

Donata Montiejunas improved his stock tremendously in Europe this season. I can see why the Kings would want him.

But if the Rockets are going full throttle for Howard, then they will have to use all the chips at their disposal.

I too think that Donata Montiejunas will be a real good NBA player.

but if there is a chance to get Dwight Howard, I say go all the way...

As far as the Linas Kleiza thing. Almost all of the other countries tend to value veterans over young players when it comes to not only national teams, but in their foreign leagues as well. The NBA is the league that tends to throw high rated rookies into the mix right away. A good example is Ricky Rubio was long considered one of the better prospects for years. However, his playing time was still considerbaly lower than you would think simply because the coaches prefer veteran players.

Someone like the current prospect Evan Fournier is extremely rare to recieve so much minutes at so young. However, he is on a pretty bad team so that is part of the explanation.

So funny how upset people get about "potential" comparisons to star players.

Some people need to read a dictionary.

    Potential:
1.possible, as opposed to actual: the potential uses of nuclear energy.
    2.capable of being or becoming:

Obviously, these players are prospects, so no one is saying that they arn't comparable to any of these stars right now. In the words of Lloyd Christmas, "SO You're Sayin there's a chance?" means potential, regardless of how small.

If not for potential, the draft would be really boring every year

There is age appropriate film of Dirk. Interesting to watch. Dirk was unstoppable. Literally. D-Mo is no Dirk.
