14.6 mill avail will get us a good player. If we can dump martin for draft pick it would be even nicer

24 mill in space would be nice and the rookies will all be on the same 3 yr cheap contract.

I doubt they would even consider using the amnesty on Martin since he will be an expiring contract. Maybe Scola, but I think he has some trade value.

I think Bima can confirm this, but a lot if tied up into Cap Holds for Camby and Dragic, they need to re-signed or renounced rights to have any significant cap space.

From what I've gathered from various websites these are the salaries and cap holds.

    Kevin Martin $12,439,675
    Luis Scola $9,408,207
    Kyle Lowry $5,750,000
    Shaun Livingston $3,500,000
    Patrick Patterson $2,096,720
    Marcus Morris $1,905,360
    Jon Brockman $1,000,000
    Chandler Parsons $888,250
    Greg Smith $762,195
    Courtney Forston $762,195
    Diamon Simpson $762,195
    Jon Leuer $762,195

    Derek Fisher $644,005

    Donatas Motiejunas $1,134,500
    12th Pick $1,683,500
    16th Pick $1,371,200
    18th Pick $1,237,500
    Courtney Lee $3,221,924

    Frederic Weis $1,443,300
    Marcus Camby $16,607,250
    Goran Dragic $4,005,200
    Earl Boykins $854,389

What??? With his VERY valuable $12.4 mil expiring contract? Not a chance, especially when we can get something in return for him.

per NBA rules, no contracts may be negotiated prior to July 1st, there is a reason why that thread was locked.

Hell no, he'll ruin the on court chemistry by being constantly in and out of the line up through injury.

So you're telling me you would NOT amnesty Martin if it meant getting Dwight and Deron? What did we get for Camby's 9.4 million expiring last year?

Also Martin wasn't valuable last year we could do without him this year if we plan to rebuild.

We traded FOR him at the deadline. When did you want to cash it in exactly?

Thank you txtodd, plus Martin is not even that valuable, his contract is.
